These reflections are my favorite of the day...it's the pond at the golf course where we did our nature walk. I believe reflecting in the pond are some fronds from the palm trees
A lovely sunset over Loch Leven in the Scottish Highlands.
The day had been quite misty with low cloud but things started to clear later in the afternoon and I was treated to this lovely fiery sky reflecting on the Loch.

Candid eye contact street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. I simply loved the reflected sunlight on his face from the new subway entrance cover and a great subject to boot. Cigarette in hand and with the sideways eye contact down my lens. Best viewed full screen by pressing 'L' or clicking on the image.
Digging in my archives...:)
It was the beginning of last winter on the beach of Schiermonnikoog, a beautiful Dutch island.
The small pond in my backyard reflects the colors of my maple tree in October and the true blue Colorado sky.
Taken in the Blue Ash suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Well, at least it gives you something to look at.
I have very mixed feelings about this shot and whether or not to post it, but still, there is something about it that I like. So, why not take a chance and post it. There's no accounting for tastes.
Tried a different perspective for this shot of the Washington Monument from the Capitol Reflecting Pool.

After the great flooding from the remnants of Hurricane Hilary in 2023, Badwater Basin had a massive ephemeral rebirth of Lake Manly that lasted for many months. I did my best to capitalize on this, traveling to photograph it when I could. At one point I had the idea of doing star trail shots reflected in the green tinted salt water. Traveling high up in the Black Mountains to look down upon it, I did some test shots before firing off some 45 minute exposures. This was one of the test shots, and I have come to like it quite a lot. The colors are pretty wild, with the briny salt water lake green and the distant glow to the west in the sky on the clouds that I can’t fully explain in hindsight. A 16.6% moon would have set around 9pm and this was taken around 1am. So the faint light in the clouds must be from the slivers of civilization in Owens Valley. This is a technically imperfect shot that has become a favorite of mine in recent weeks.
I spotted the smoke shrouded sun reflected in a puddle on the beach. Same as the previous photo I had to be very careful framing this shot as I could not look through the viewfinder.
