A little experiment.

Shooting outside my comfortzone.

Shot taken, some months ago, during a trip with my family in Rome, the Italian capital! Here is showed a part of the Colosseum reflected in a little puddle.

I had a roll of expired Kodak GC400 film in my Ricoh Elnica for a few months and finally got it developed this week. This is about 20% of one negative: my wife reflected in a big puddle back in October.

Looking out over the estuary as low tide approached. The sunset was in the opposite direction, but a bank of low cloud over Tweedmouth reflected the display back wonderfully.

Sami having a reflective moment in the Turku Castle.

For me there's something very beautiful in people and moments like this.

The tide is way out and the wet sand reflects the burnt out pier.

An odd image - the sun was popping in and out behind the clouds - and this is when it was 'half-shining'. It's reflected in the pond, so has a slightly distorted look and some odd colouring. I like the sort of blocky scrunched paper look of some of the clouds that the water has created.

The iconic mill of Milltown is being razed. The water tower and smokestack are here reflected in the pond.

As a Hollywood mobster might say.....Fuji Pro 400H "sleeps with the fishes".

When it comes to different films, I don't get into comparative test shots, spectral sensitivity or dye density curves......but much like Fuji Pro 160s and the original Acros, it was a film that I enjoyed putting through my Hasselblad. While Fujifilm Corp. says it's because, "it has become increasingly difficult to procure the raw materials needed". To me, it feels like another large step away from supporting film photography as a whole....and it's sad. Whether I shoot with a film stock a lot or a little, there is a feeling of loss when one goes the way of Luca Brasi.

These three fish, spouting water just above the reflecting pool at Lewis & Clark, were photographed with our dearly departed Fuji Pro 400H. Among its strengths are how it renders blues and greens; plenty of both in this scene and throughout the landscapes of the PNW.....maybe that's why I liked it.
