This is my entry for the 7777 Redux contest here at Flickr. It's a modern version of the older cover, wit a modern train station... build with newer pieces and colors.
My entry is based on the Cover (page 0), Page 33 and page 83
The train-wagons, station, platform and signs are build for the contest.
Mirror Mirror Redux
Since yall favored my last mirror picture with explore, I decided to cash in on that popularity and post another.
What photographer can pass up a mirror like this?
Certainly not I!

Not my first Rodeo when it comes to disasters.
History Redux pic back in 2011 as I was sussing out on the Internet the seriousness of the Fukushima Nuclear Reactors meltdown whilst living in Tokyo, Japan.
Have been doing similar for the last two-months after a 9-year hiatus...
Experimenting with some different processing methods. I probably overdid it, maybe just a little. But it was fun and I learned some things, I think. :P
The theme for this weeks Macro Mondays is "Redux". These beads are approximately 3/4 inch tall.
With this photo many of this past years themes could fit.

Original was a three shot HDR taken and published in May 2011. This version is processed from the original single 0 EV shot. Processed in Lightroom and NiK Color Efex. I much prefer the this newly processed version. Hoping for at least one keeper in NYC tonight

Years ago I photographed this scene with a tiny pinhole camera I built when I was putting together materials for my admission portfolio to various art schools. It was the image I chose to experiment with in 2001 when attempting the large scale transfer technique that I now use for my artwork. And, eight years after that initial test, I chose this image again for the test case to see how pastel and charcoal could be manipulated over leafing.
I suppose this just goes to show that you never know the lifeline of the images you photograph— how they may come into use years down the road, or speak to you in different ways at different times in life. I never thought of this as a particularly strong photograph and yet it now boasts three different generations that coincide with my own development as an artist. I wonder when it will rise up again. . .

For "Macro Mondays" "Redux 2018" - theme : multicolor .
I usually look at the Macro Mondays weekly theme after the uploads have already started. This week, I happened to notice this on Saturday night, and it really interests me. A number of themes bear repeating, and some I missed completely. I hope to spend some time reviewing this list to see if any themes capture my mind or my delight mode.
Been 24 years since I was last in Australia; going back for a bud's wedding in February (13th-17th to be exact)!
If I haven't pinged you yet (about meeting up), then apologies! Please ping me so that we can coordinate catching up after so many years/decades!
Another HISTORY REDUX pic taken in 1995; around when the "Internet" became a lexicon (and 15+ years before Instagram).
MOC: Snack Bar. Part of my Updated Classics series, this is my take on a modern version of the classic set 675.
I've kept the iconic colours of the original set, while trying to build my version in a style that would go well with my modular gas station.
If you add another 16x32 baseplate behind it, for example with some picnic tables, it will fit in a modular layout.
Oh, and the tree? There's an old moulded pine tree in the original set, and I needed something a bit bigger and more realistic - so I challenged my favourite tree builder, Marco ('Ecclesiastes), to come up with something that might work. Put simply, he nailed it in a way I would never have been able to. Thanks, Marco!

This is one I prepared for printing at A3 size for an exhibition that seems to have now fallen in a hole. The original images (3 exposures) were only 6MP and I wasn't sure how well the details would come out printed at 12x18", so I added a reflected border with vignette to increase the size a little. Now I like the border effect because it feels like it draws me into the image more.
Using Genuine Fractals, I scaled it up to 4800x7200 pixels to print at 400ppi, which I think is overkill, but I'm pretty happy with the result overall so I might get it printed anyway.
Other details for those interested:
Nikon D70s, 18-70mm @18mm, Manfrotto tripod / ballhead
Saved in raw format, original size 2000x3008 pixels
3 exposures at f/6.3: (1/40, 1/10, 1/2) = (-2ev, 0, +2ev)
Converted and tonemapped with Photomatix Pro 3.2

This was a stormy evening and the sun was setting behind clouds whilst the full moon was rising as seen in the picture. Some of the clouds were so low they obscure the top of the Rialto building in the city. The raw pictures have very little colour in them, so I de-saturated it a little more to get the result shown.

"Redux" means I'm revisiting selected pics from a previous series, in order to bring them some personal attention in the post processing that they missed the first time around.
In this case, a tighter crop, noise reduction, tiny bit of sharpening, and I toned-down the green cast of the underwater lighting somewhat.
