Reprocessed in Photoshop to lighten surface without clipping the bright albedo areas, for a more natural view. Also converted to grayscale.
I scrapped all the weather presets I was using from Elder Blood and edited the base file quiet a bit. Now to redo those weathers.......

The final version of this, after being a work in progress for a year and a half, looks like this if you view the original LDraw/MLCad file with LDView.

A lone tree on Hwy. 68, just south of Taos as I recall. I drove down from Aspen for a weekend visit to Taos and Santa Fe - went to a party/art opening in Taos for Randall Lagro. It was a nice trip.
A redux of an upload of mine from last week, this one is actually much closer to the original photo, but I chose to upload the high contrast black and white conversion first, last week.
This image was taken while Lisa and I were driving through the Blackfoot Industrial Park on our way to the farmers market to buy some fresh and delicious veggies for our Good Friday dinner.
I honestly can't decide which one of these I like better...I love the colours and softer sky in the color version, but I really really really love the grittyness, contrast, and textural drama of the black and white version, which is why I uploaded it first!
As always, I would love to know what you guys think!
I'm offline for the next couple weeks shooting the Cherry Blossoms, so I thought I'd do a little redux of these shots from the last couple of years.
I won't be shooting the DC Cherry Blossoms this year. I'm going a little farther afield... :)

Munich Frauenkirche, Munich, Germany
As promised I said I would do a B&W version of this photo I took of the Frauenkirche in Munich and I am glad I did. If you look at the original colour version I uploaded (see in the comments section) it takes on a completely different feel. The B&W really brings out all the textures in the stone and arches and also the bright white pillars are stunning compared to the darker ceiling.
I really do prefer this version compared to the colour version, whats your views and opinions? Which do you prefer?
I hope you all have great weekend.

Location Information
The Frauenkirche (full name Dom zu Unserer Lieben Frau, "Cathedral of Our Dear Lady") is a church in the Bavarian city of Munich that serves as the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising and seat of its Archbishop. It is a landmark and is considered a symbol of the Bavarian capital city.
The church towers are widely visible because of local height limits. According to the narrow outcome of a local plebiscite, city administration prohibits buildings with a height exceeding 99 m in the city center. Since November 2004, this prohibition has been provisionally extended outward and as a result, no buildings may be built in the city over the aforementioned height. The south tower is open to those wishing to climb the stairs and offers a unique view of Munich and the nearby Alps.

A new version of a photo I took in August 2010.
Special thanks to Soupflower for finding these gems!
I recently inadvertently deleted many photos from my photostream. I've been trying to retrieve as many of them as I could - it hasn't been easy... Like this one, I've marked the 'deleted' photos as 'redux'. I lost all of the information that goes with a photo, including the faves and comments I received. I'm merely putting them back in my photostream so they are not lost forever. I've turned off the comments for each of them.
This is a redux of the Orb @ Warners. What I have done to this image is blend 3 different exposures into 1 image, adjusted the horizon and tweaked the hues to give some more colour to the sky.
What do you think of this image compared to the original Orb @ Warners?
This image made explore.

NEW FREEDOM, PA - The "William H. Simpson" York #17 is a faithful replica of a Civil War era 4-4-0 steam locomotive. In 1863, a locomotive of this type pulled President Abraham Lincoln's train from Baltimore along this line to Hanover Junction roughly 10 miles to the North where he transferred onto another train and head West to Gettysburg to deliver his now famous seven minute address commemorating the new cemetery where thousands from that summer's battle had perished. The locomotive is named in honored of Mr. Simpson who was a driving force behind the creation of Steam Into History, the company that runs the excursions between New Freedom and Hanover Junction. He died in May, 2012 not having seen his vision come to life. Lighting provided by Sean R. Hoyden
MOC: Garage. A modern interpretation of the classic set 361 by the same name.
I spent a bit of time coming up with a design for the lift. This one works very well - there's enough friction in those Technic axles that you can place a car on top of the bars and it will stay up. The axles are anchored to the floor, so the liftarms can be pulled up and pushed down without the rest of the parts moving. And the arms can be rotated (with the axles) to fit cars with all wheelbases. I'm very happy with how this turned out.
This is a redux of my previous version.

A rework of a photo I took 15 years ago with my then new PowerShot S60 (long since dead.) I never particularly liked the original, even then in my relative photographic infancy. I ran it through Luminar 4, making use of a de-hazing process, a lookup table and a couple other tweaks. I'm not sure I'm sold on some of the adjustments (particularly the preset based ones) that Luminar offers, but that I said I have a new toy and I want to try it out. Certainly the end result here is far more interesting to look at than the original photo.

I think I like this one better.
I would like to mention that the title of this picture, "Fear," is entitled such because fear is an emotion that is typically associated with firearms. I'm in no way implying that someone should fear firearms, fear myself, or anything for that matter. I'm only trying to say that fear is an emotion that everyone feels and that firearms can insight such an emotion.
Thank you,
Ian
it's almost been a year since i posted the other version of this... the blue one www.flickr.com/photos/dreamerofmeaning/71596047. thought i would revisit it and see what you think.
