Cargo area. Those things are cargo pods.

If I had those rocket things in grey or yellow I would've built a GHL container.

"Redux" means I'm revisiting selected pics from a previous series, in order to bring them some personal attention in the post processing that they missed the first time around.

In this case, a tighter crop, noise reduction, tiny bit of sharpening, and I toned-down the green cast of the underwater lighting somewhat.

Hey if you believe public photography should be your right and not a permit only privilege, nyc is looking into taking away that right from everyone in the city. This feels like the beginning of something that makes me sick. If you disagree with this action, go read and sign the petition

Experimenting with gels to create a more fleshed out version of Leslie Overnight. So not a touch of Photoshop here; just an unprocessed photo.

First version

Changes:

-- Implemented suggestion from *Your Guide (standard method). This technique made the biggest difference.

also:

-- Slight Shadows/Highlights adjustment

-- Additional burning and desaturation

Also, this file was uploaded as sRGB. Unfortunately the first version was uploaded as Adobe RGB. Sorry, not apples to apples!

A year ago when I took this picture, I was a bit of a novice at processing images. I made a number of mistakes, and this picture is a fine example of one. In spite of its popularity, have never been happy with it, always regretting the poor color balance and the blown-out highlights.

One year later (and one year smarter), I set out to fix this picture. Using the original RAW file, I reprocessed it from the ground up. I'm a lot happier with it now. The differences may seem subtle to some of you, but to me, they're on an order of magnitude. (Aside from color, see what other differences you can spot!)

I've made the photo available for sale on RedBubble, so if you can find it in your heart and/or wallet to support my extraordinarily silly photography, please click on over! :D

This is my first "redux", or rework, on a previously completed illustration. This was done as a cover for The Rebel (by Jack Whyte, the first of the Braveheart Trilogy). I've just thought it would be fun to continue playing with it, and add some more abstract elements and stuff. Yes, this is a twisted version of William Wallace, the "rebel" of the trilogy.

I had my mother's engagement stone added to my engagement ring. :) I rather like the results.

"Redux" means I'm revisiting selected pics from a previous series, in order to bring them some personal attention in the post processing that they missed the first time around. In this case, some Levels adjustments, removed a slight green cast, gave it a touch of HDR-like treatment via Photoshop Shadows and Highlights filter, and some noise reduction.

Back in 2008, I completed my fifth mechanical clock simply titled “Mechanical No.5”. It used kitikata rice paper to set off the numbers on these sort of fanned-out panels, it used a reliable and accurate dead-beat-style escapement, and it featured magnifying lenses to accent the hands. That clock received a lot of attention when it was posted online, and was one of my favorites, so a revisitation of that style was in order. “Redux V” is titled as such not only because of the revival of “Mechanical No.5”, but also fits because the five is a dominant visual element on the clock.

I recently inadvertently deleted many photos from my photostream. I've been trying to retrieve as many of them as I could - it hasn't been easy... Like this one, I've marked the 'deleted' photos as 'redux'. I lost all of the information that goes with a photo, including the faves and comments I received. I'm merely putting them back in my photostream so they are not lost forever. I've turned off the comments for each of them.

Or the opposite. It's a freaking monorail after all.
