A single red Gerbera with what I believe is called Solidago, please correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't really do indoor photography with natural light but I loved the way the sun was shining through the blind and decided to use it for a creative effect. As this light coming from behind it meant I had to use a flash to light the flowers, seemed weird to use flash when it was so bright in reality. I then added another flash aimed at the background to add the red gradient.

Sometimes you get lucky. While shooting this storm near Cheyenne Wyoming and chasing barns - I drove down a road but the distance only had new houses on horizon... but suddenly this sign appeared.
Some say great timing - I say lucky but knew right away I had to capture the moment.
My photography day started off on a rather uninspiring note, the weather was very dull and overcast with the prospect of rain to add to the misery. Both Steve and I decided that we should make the effort to get out with our first stop being Crovie which is a small village that sits on the East Coast of Scotland. The main street is for pedestrians only, everything has to transported by shopping trolley or wooden barrows as there are no cars allowed. There is however some limited parking at the far end of the village. We were pleasantly surprised to see the weather had brightened up enough to catch the odd photograph where the sun shone.
The Red Bridge over the Maas in Rotterdam, looked so good tonight all lit up. It just caught my eye.
Thank Odin or your favourite Deity I had my trusty G16.
