60 Squadron celebrated their centenary. They are based at RAF Shawbury. They had the Red Arrows in and also the Typhoon.
Controversially the general public were told to stay away from the perimeter fencing and there was a police presence.

A wider shot of one I uploaded a couple of weeks ago. Squire Anderton's Wood, before Storm Claudia removed the leaves, and before the groundsman had blown the leaves from the verges! (Yes, he must have done that as my later photos show them neatly lying on the other side of the railings.)
I'm looking forward to some mist, hopefully with sun too, at this place.

The Red Arrows put on a great show on Saturday, No matter how many times I see them I always get a little tingle and a sense of pride, I wasn't even in the Airforce lol! Still, they are the best of the best and never fail to deliver.
This bird's namesake red belly is not usually visible, but can be seen here. Because woodpeckers are clinging birds, most of the time their bellies are against a tree trunk or branch. Our beautiful world, pass it on.

The pretty America 2.0, the Adirondack III, the Western Union, the Appledore, the Jolly Rover II and many other tall ships are credited with helping to keep Key West's maritime traditions alive for years
to come. Always a joy to see skimming across Key West Harbor.

This is G, our grandson who'se favourite colour is Red. He talks about being a fireman when he grows up. Edit to add - he recently lost an uncle on his mom's side who was a fireman.
This was an extreme macro photo where 28 Images have been stacked to produce a larger depth of field. This was shot with the Laowa 100mm 2:1 macro at 2:1 with 52mm of extension tubes resulting in a final magnification of approx. 2.52X. Photos taken at f/4 with ~0.15mm steps forward between each shot using my DIY automated Macro Rail (Working progress). This is not a perfect shot but I was quite happy with it.
