I was out of town in the countryside when I chanced upon a group of "bayawak" in an upside down position. The native dwellers in this place would hunt the "bayawak" to be sold to the passersby and tourists either as a pet or as delicacy in the retaurant. This kind of specie is already endangered in the Philippines because of the vanishing forests in the mountains. Here, I titled the photo as "Distorted Reality: the Girl from a Distance" to put a contrast between man and the endangered animal.
In reality, Bromsgrove Station is in the former village of Aston Fields. The railway comes, and houses were built all the way down from Bromsgrove to Aston Fields.

Last Sunday I participated in my first photography contest, and basically it was a walk through around the city of Old San Juan for six hours, taking two pictures for every two topics. It was a very exciting yet nervous day because it was my first competition ever, and there were over forty contestants. But at the end of the day I was quite happy with the results, and I can't wait to see who wins.
All the entries had to be in JPEG and they could not be edited using any kind of editing softwares. Any changes had to be made inside the camera. Basically what you see is what truly happened, and no changes were applied to the pictures.
I'll let the title describe the picture. The title of each picture was the topic of that round.

About RWR
READ/WRITE REALITY (RWR) is an intensive and visionary workshop created by FakePress Publishing and Art is Open Source (AOS) in collaboration with Centro Studi Etnografia Digitale to pragmatically explore the methodological, technical and technological possibilities offered by Ubiquitous Publishing. The first edition of RWR was held on September 2011 in Cava de’ Tirreni (Salerno, Italy), at the Ostello “Borgo Scacciaventi”.
The result of the workshop was an Augmented Reality Movie created by a wonderful group of 35 people from allover the world, in a complete hand-to-hand process.

"Our eyes" is represented by the camera image in the reflection of the window. The migrant workers work hard all day, every day. Is this really fair?
In the pond at Sunglow Ranch in Arizona. I like the patterns made by the branch and its reflection. With the lighting it is hard to tell where the brance ends and the reflection begins.
