Reality, ovvero: la visione di un presente fatto di contraddizioni. Il voyeurismo televisivo è più vero del vero, l’unico modo per “essere” è “apparire” in uno schermo. Osservo i sogni e le aspettative della gente, il desiderio di realizzarsi, le nuove generazioni “precarie” e deluse che scelgono di imboccare la strada mediatica.
Guardando al passato, l’unità d’Italia non è stata fatta dai Savoia ma da Mike Bongiorno.
Quale futuro immaginare? Una Y simbolo di incognita, slancio verso l’alto (come l’asse delle ordinate), apertura al cambiamento e alle nuove energie creative.

Usually swings hang side by side and not one above the other. The swing reflection only emphasizes this claim. The reflection of the swing poles, as well as the swing reflection, has a different and monochromatic color while the reality is painted in vibrant colors, as is the case in our playgrounds designed for children.

A narration of Ma'qil ibn Yasaar (May Allah be pleased with him) who narrates that Prophet (Peace be upon him) said:
"It is better for an iron rod (nail, needle etc) to be driven into the head of a man, than for him to touch a woman who is not permissible for him."
The hadith is narrated by the great Hafiz of Hadith , at-Tabrani, in his al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (Vol.20 Pg.211) and by the Muhaddith al-Ruyaani, in his Musnad (Vol.2 Pg.323).
This narration has been classified as Sahih (authentic) by Allamah ibn Hajr al-Haitami in his az-Zawajir while both Hafiz Munzhiri in his at-Targheeb wat Tarheeb (Vol.3 Pg.26) and Hafiz Nuruddeen Haithami in Majma'uz Zawaid (Vo.4 Pg.326) have classified all its narrators as reliable narrators of Sahih Muslim.

The augmented reality sandbox is an extremely interactive and tactile way to teach basic concepts in geology and geography in a really interesting way. Any time you can introduce interactive technology into your subject matter, your ability to engage your audience immediately increases. This has been evident with the Augmented Reality Sandbox on the 2nd Floor of the Chattanooga Public Library, having received over 600 visitors in under 2 weeks of being in the public eye.
While there’s lots of potential for hard-line curriculum to be developed around the sandbox, the real and unforeseen potential exists in what the kids themselves come up with. It’s already been used as a device for digital story telling, with kids using the sandbox and its shifting landscape as a platform to develop their own short stories, entirely of their own accord.
The Chattanooga Public Library's sandbox was built by Jake Brown (pictured center) , a 17-year old college sophomore working at the library as a technology projects coordinator. Jake used open source technology designed by specialist Peter Gold of the UC Davis Department of Geology.

The "truth" is a story.....reality is what is really going on around you.... The Culture Jammer’s Encyclopedia.....
The "UF-Faux, Desire and the Unexplained" series looks at landscapes, grouped objects, human perception, expectations and interactions. These photo montages, for the most part , use original photo images. These were captured in New York City but also some in Puerto Rico.....a key intersection of the fabled "Bermuda Triangle". These surreal images are meant to provoke simultaneous feelings and thoughts of familiarity and dissonance. Perhaps they will induce a disquieting sense of "alien otherness" in the realm of our yearnings and desires.
UFOs “sightings” came to mind in this connection. Their “otherness” seem to challenge our sense of physical context, our human perceptions and logic. Most importantly, they question our assumptions about our existence in relation to one another and the cosmos.
This got me thinking, and then theorizing, that the UFO phenomenon has to be part of an induced aesthetic experience. What is inducing this is not clear, but I 've mused that, if these “alien” beings did exist, their activities might be viewed as culturally "alien" artistic performances.
It is no accident that these "sightings" have generated legends, shamanistic beliefs, folk tales and art (movies, literature, etc.) Although these have occurred throughout history, at this time, these “performances” have engaged our imagination with a special poignancy. A social scientist might venture to say that this may be brought on by technologically driven planetary changes that are inducing a yet to be understood superordinate world-view or "mind-melt" of sorts. Perhaps this "alien/otherness" aesthetic provokes "dissociation" because it precedes an incomprehensible break with established parameters of human "reality".
If these "alien" beings don’t actually exist in the ways we're imagining they might, it's possible that, as we've looked up at the skies, these"apparitions" represent a preternatural human impulse to ask: .... What else could there be, other than the man-made absurdity and cruelty we so often find ourselves in? Perhaps these "apparitions" represent a desire for an "encounter" with a kinder and wiser transcendent part of ourselves.
Maybe:
"we are stardust.....
We are golden
And we've got to get ourselves
Back to the garden"
Could we be.....marooned star dust beings who've been "cut off" from a wondrous legacy that “intrudes” upon our daily aware nesses by way of unexplained "sightings"? I finally ask myself: ....could this "mystery" be at the root of art and human creativity? Maybe “truth” is stranger than “fiction”?.... The exploration of this alien "otherness" is where I begin this project........
Dr. J. Allen Hynek penned the scientifically accepted term for UFO:
"A UFO is the reported perception of an object or light seen in the sky or upon the land the appearance, trajectory, and general dynamic and luminescent behaviour of which do not suggest a logical, conventional explanation and which is not only mystifying to the original percipients but remains unidentified after close scrutiny of all available evidence by persons who are technically capable of making a common sense identification, if one is possible."
