Broken bottles and charred pieces of glass,
Wadded up newspapers tossed on the grass,
Pouring of concrete and tearing out trees.
This is the environment that surrounds me?
Poisons and insecticides sprayed on our food,
Oceans filling with thick oil crude.
All sea life destined to a slow, awful doom.
These are the things we are to consume?
Mills pumping out iron, expelling yellow fumes,
Airlines emitting caustic gases from fuels,
Weapons of destruction tested at desolate sites.
And this is the air that's to sustain life?
There has to be something that someone can do,
Like raise the awareness to those around you
That if we don't heed the problem at hand
It's your life that's at stake, the destruction of man.

I was never so beautiful as my dreams were........
During one of those " Under the affuence of incohol " conversations with two friends, brothers in fact,
the chat turned to dreams, after much thought provoking and quite serious supposition and theory expounding, i casually said, "In reality it is all probably just inconsequential sleep memory" ....... it didn't go down quite as well as the beer had. ;-))

To the north of Orihuela, a charming town in the Segura valley, Alicante, we find the neighborhood of San Isidro. A very special neighborhood. Special because the neighbors go about their daily lives surrounded by large murals painted on the walls of their houses. More than a hundred paintings that the City Council restores from spring to spring. It all began with a heartfelt tribute, in 1976, to the great poet Miguel Hernández, born in Orihuela, who died with impunity in a prison during the Franco dictatorship. Many of the murals are accompanied by beautiful verses. The walk through its steep streets becomes a very colorful and, at times, militant pleasant route that draws our attention to real and very current social problems.

People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. people talk about how great love is, but that's bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they're afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they're wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters.
