Although Pines has had plenty of inquires, we do not intend to be bought out by an agribusiness that seeks to take advantage of the organic marketplace while continuing to use GMO and pesticides for most of their products. After 40 years, Pines is still owned by the same people. Our shareholders consist of more than 100 farmers and others who invested an average of $200 because the believed in our ideals.
All Pines #greensuperfoods are packaged in amber glass bottles with special metal caps that allow us to remove the oxygen. That prevents the devitalization that occurs with packets and plastic containers. After opening, the tight seals in the metal caps allow you to keep products fresh and vibrant between uses.
Krysten has contributed recipes for our website and has taught the quality difference with Pines. In appreciation, we sent her a "care package." Here is the caption she wrote on Instagram for her picture re-posted here:
