Be careful what you say around eggs. Everyone knows they can’t take a yolk.

Oh yeah! Deliciously sweet and juicy.

I haven't quite worked it out yet as to how or why my clothes seem to be shrinking during this lockdown.😂😂.

Something to snack on.

Very delicious any time of the year.

Not the best chocolate cake I've ever had but hey chocolate is chocolate and if it comes in a cake who cares.

The earliest verifiable reference to stick candy is a record of the 1837 Exhibition of the Massachusetts Charitable Mechanic Association, where confections were judged competitively. A recipe for straight peppermint candy sticks, white with coloured stripes, was published in 1844.

Freshly picked pomegranates from a friend.

For the first time in 23 years, her pomegranate tree has produced fruit and she has shared the fruit with us. They are bursting with seeds and so juicy!

Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme.

Homemade caramel. A delicious confection for use later in our desserts and drinks and of course pouring over ice cream.

Microgreens are vegetable greens (not to be confused with sprouts or shoots) harvested just after the cotyledon leaves have developed (and possibly with one set of true leaves). Very tasty.

Coincidentally yesterday was National Banana Cream Pie Day. Fancy me not eating this yesterday. Banana Cream Pie can be celebrated any day and besides everyone loves pie, don't they?

No champagne. No caviar. Just everyday groceries, picked by hand, with care and intention. We live simply—doing our own shopping, choosing fresh tomatoes over luxury, and pickled beans over pretension. Today, I bought a lottery ticket. Who knows? Maybe tomorrow, simplicity becomes history. But for now, this is life. And it’s enough.

Today I've been taking the biscuit.

I must admit I felt a little queasy after taking this :))

For dunking later. Closest I can get here to Rich Tea biscuits.

......Christmas dinner wouldn't be the same without them.

Of course the more wine I drink the tastier these will be.

I will be adding chestnuts and bacon to them.....Jamie Oliver will be so happy with me :))

Especially when they are as good as these.

Natillas, Spanish custard, topped with cream and cinnamon. Very naughty but very nice and I did share.

A mince pie is a sweet pie of British origin, filled with a mixture of dried fruits and spices called "mincemeat", that is traditionally served during the Christmas season in many English speaking countries and, in parts of the United States Its ingredients are traceable to the 13th century, when returning European crusaders brought with them Middle Eastern recipes containing meats, fruits, and spices.

I am happy to enjoy them at any time of year. Shame I don't have any Cornish clotted cream.

Just a taste but it's very nice.

I want nail polish this colour 😂

Goes with anything and everything you eat today.

Just right to have with coffee.

What a busy morning cracking and eating walnuts in the sunshine.

Walnuts taste great and are a rich source of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats and an excellent source of those hard to find omega-3 fatty acids. They also contain iron, selenium, calcium, zinc, vitamin E and some B vitamins. Can't be bad!

Walnut husks can be used to make a durable ink for writing and drawing. It is thought to have been used by artists including Leonardo da Vinci and Rembrandt.
