On this Sunny,but cold Sunday Morning Dec 29th ,2019 .We see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s office Wildlife Investigator Dan Farco leaving church early ,as he got a call about cow dead from possible wolf kill. Dan won’t know for sure tell he drivers 30 or so miles from here is Sparta ( county seat ) to an area of the county were rancher found the cow dead . Dan in short time as Wildlife Investigator knows 9 chances out of 10 it was killed by a wolf ,but tell he along with Fish and game investigate it is unknown .
Dan has been county Wildlife Investigator since Nov of this year ( 2019 ) He mainly documents Wolf kills for local government level records ,Mostly livestock ,but also some pets,but no humans yet .
Crews from Nail construction finish up for the the walls on new business going up on this off and one rain showers Firday July 13th,2018 . We also see young lady who s daughter of the owner of this business talking with Local writer Loretta Stroud ,Rusty Hameler and Clay county Sheriff's office Sergeant Rick Fray .

On this Wednesday June 6th ,2018 Morning. We see Eagle Lake State Park Ranger Anthony Sueburg walking back to his unit ,after dropping off some paper work at the Hazzard Range county Courthouse in the county seat of Sparta . We also see the man setting in his pickup listing to local radio station KRTK as the 2018 primary election results are read .
For Hazzard Range county
Two seats on the county commission are up for election. District 4 and current Commission Chair George Dallas " G.D " who yet again is unopposed in Primary and general election . Same for District 3 Vice chair Commissioner Fred Taller ,Judge Henry Sims and county assessor Holly Clark.
Only county races contested are County Sheriff . Current sheriff Troy Forbes had Alan Cay running against him in the Republican primary . Sheriff Forbes won . . County Magistrate Judge Sally Harts is also contested ,in fall though . By current County Municipal Judge Chris Lock .
For Clay county
For county judges and county assessor are unopposed . For Clay County Commissioner district 1 Current commissioner Dorothy York is not seeking reelection . Only two candidates filed for that seat are Democrat Sam Alden and Republican Dean Miller . Commissioner district 3 Democrat Gordon Bins is running unopposed in the June primary and Nov general election .
For Sheriff though current incumbent Republican Shawn Gray is unopposed in the June primary ,but he face Democrat a current Philipsburg Police Dept Captain Donald Akain
For Apache County
The only race in primary being watch is the county sheriff . Apache county sheriff Paul Laca who is a independent will face Retired Forks police Chief Hank Padilla a Democrat and Republican Tom Young ,who beat out retired sheriff's office deputy Travis Clarkson
For Sweetwater county
County Sheriff Republican TJ Gonzales is unopposed in the primary and general in fall . Only race that is contested is for county commission seat 1 .Longtime county commissioner Dick little has been beat out by Carlos Dale . He will take on Glenn Baca in the fall .

On this Good Friday ( April 10th ,2020 ) We a USPS Delivery van passing Hope Church that for the first in a long long long time won’t be having Sunday service this Easter thanks to COVID-19. It will though of digital Service .
We also see pictured, Hazzard Range County sheriff’s office Lieutenant Bubba Sanchez unit park along 1st . Hope Church dates back late in the 1890s and has been in this location since 1900 at the corner of 1st and Dallas Av in the county seat of Sparta .
On this Monday January 15th ,2018 afternoon . We see Hazzard Range county sheriff's office Animal control Sergeant William Martinez talking with county detention Center Sergeant Ruby Under outside the county detention center on 1st in the county seat of Sparta .After he was called to pickup a stray dog .
The Detention center was built in 1959 in has been remodeled in 1970s, 1990 and in 2001 . The county and state sunk in another 9 million dollars bring it up to code in 2016 .They hope to have a brand new building built by 2026 . The current building when it was built could house 30 inmates after it was added onto in late 1970s 65 inmates can be held there .From 1935 to 1959 Detention center or jail was in basement of The sheriff's office that is on first floor half of county government center. Today the old jail is used for holding cells .

Scene investigation and cleared owner set it off by accident ,by owner making sure his cabin is winterized and after first big cold front of season has moved in overnight ,
On this Sunny ,but cold( 44 °F ) Tuesday Dec 17 2019 afternoon .We see Eagle Lake Irrigation District Water Master Doug Rocky walking out of Forks city hall after giving a presentation at Forks joint Village Commission meeting . Outside we see Forks Police Department Captain Sean Bowwers and officer Steve Veley units
Eagle Lake Irrigation District or ELID ,ELID operates and maintains the system for ELID members in the Rainbow ,Forks and Apache Valleys,
Rainbow Valley in the central part of Hazzard Range County ,it is about 25 mile long valley on the banks of the Rio Grande river. Sparta the county seat sets in north part of valley and it is called Rainbow valley because for all of the different colors of rocks . Irrigated mostly by the water of Eagle Lake want is just north of Sparta and wells . The valley grows many things ,but mostly Chile, Onions, Corn ,Pumpkins ,Pinto Beans ,pecans and cotton it is also home to three little census designated communities of Sun ,Mars and Rio Grande junction . Water for this area is diverted at Pump house Diversion Dam built in 1914
Forks Valley is smaller and goes east up Forks Canyon /Radar creek ,but there is a small handful of farmers who Irrigated from Rio Grande river . So water is diverted at Sierra Ridge Diversion Dam ( built in 1909 and water is Diverted at Apache Valley Diversion Dam ( built in 1911 ) . Both dams owned by the United States Bureau of Reclamation, which built them , and is operated by the Eagle Lake Irrigation District . Also both are in Apache county the county south of Hazzard Range county,
Forks is made up of three ( Fork , Middle Fork and Top Fork ) little cluster of homes and businesses that form Forks In 1987 they consolidated to Form Forks with a total population of about 499 on the banks of Forks creek .Most part of the canyon they set in is home to small farms and ranches in the surrounding desert .All three Villages set in Forks Creeks Canyon along the Forks Creek in Apache County NM , just over the County Line from Hazzard Range County. Also all three are served by joint Village Commission ,that has three Commissioners Forks Police Department ( FPD) has 5 officers including the Chief.

As the sun sets on this Saturday, June 7th,2025, we see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Jerry Sparks heading back along NM 323 in Banjo, turns deep in the White Mt Range located in the southern part of the county, and is part of Hazzard Range National Forest.
He just finished up a call with motorhome vs car crash assisted by New Mexico State Police Officer Robbie Torrers, County volunteer Fire and EMS Station 1 ( Fort Hazzard ), Community Health Center, EMS, and Penn auto repair & towing few miles east of Hope Flats

Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s office Deputy Clint Dallas took a report of a break and entering in the 200 block of Depot AV in Sun, central part of the county .
On this Friday June 29th ,2018 late afternoon .Outside of Hazzard Range sheriff's office Fort Hazzard Substation in southern part of the county .We see Deputy Andy Gather talking with new hire Animal control Deputy Katy Paca .She starts on working on her own July 2,but till then she is riding along with Animal control Deputy William Martinez . Who right now is inside of the substation going over paper work with Sergeant Jerry Sparks ,about dog that was picked up few miles east of Fort Hazzard and now is about to be transported to the county animal shelter in Sparta the county seat of Hazzard Range county .

Hazzard Range county sheriff's office Sergeant Jerry Sparks advised he was out on Motorist Assist along NM state Rd 323 just southwest of Cow Bone canyon bridge .
On this Thursday August 6th ,2020 Morning we see a line of boaters waiting to enter Eagle lake state park that for time being is only open on Thursday through Sunday 6 am to 6 pm because of COVID-19 restrictions of NM governor Health order .
We also see Eagle Lake State Park Ranger Nathen Baca passing by the line on NM 168 he headed north to another part of the lake ,

East Sparta sits on eastern bank of the Rio Grande river and is called besides East Sparta ,,Little south ,The bottoms or Old town by locals on western bank just east Downtown Sparta the county seat and East Sparta was the town of Sparta site till 1912
Acadia SUP offers paddle board rentals, lessons and even yoga with their boards on the calm protected waters of local lakes inside Acadia National Park as well as in the the calm bays and harbors of Maine.
On this Cold ( 24 °F) earlier Tuesday Nov 13th ,2018 morning. We see G.D Oil & Petroleum CO, Delivery driver Greg Mae walking back to his truck after fulling up Inter county Railway ( ICR ) Locomotive number 311 a EMD GP50 . Inside the ICR's shop is Engine 6752 and 8098 both EMD SD 40-2 after getting some maintenance done . The man walking to the building is Engineer/conductor Alan Montoya who getting Conductor Phil Martinez for they can start their day with some switching at the High desert Plastic then afternoon Apache -Sparta turn . They hope by then 6752 or 8098 will be done .

Gray Dog Campground is one few along NM 308 that crosses the White Mt Range located in the southern part the county and is part of Hazzard Range National Forest and with it be Easter Weekend some locals like Aaron Pansfe trying to check on his Cattle he useing binoculars to try it for he don’t have deal with campers .but to no luck and with uptick of visitors Lieutenant Bartly is out this part of the county trying to catch some offroads locals in near by census designated area of Fort Hazzard area along with the far-flung ranchs and subdivisions have been complaining about or this call would been hours away.
On this Tuesday Jan 7th,2020 .We see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s office Investigator Matt White and Sergeant /investigator Junior Hays about to get in Hay’s unit for trip west to Clay County .As they have testify in hearing from Aug 2017 murder case . That just went to trial this week after years of delays and Change of venue resulted in case be heard finally this week .
After 2 weeks of trial ,the suspect in case Zachary Vinnds was found guilty of the murder of local Ranch hand Greg Simjg on Aug 11th,2017 in the southern part of the county .
