Shooting straight into the sun. Very little flare. The field at Jericho park had lots of water on it - to the great enjoyment of the canada geese that hand around there.
There is something special about fast, really fast wide-angles. Shot wide open they have a "cinematic" look to the image. OK, they are also big - but in the current weather it works well. Grey and gloomy - and as I am using up some assorted 100 iso films at the moment - necessary.
Well, not small, but it is a 21mm f1.8 -very good, even at f1.8 - flat field rendition nice tonal range. Great for using a wide-angle in the gloomy North West. At f1.2 it has an almost cinematic look too it - sharp focus plane and a distinct bokeh.

This is a double exposure. The first exposure was around 30 minutes with a ten stop filter, the second exposure was 1/15 without any filtration. If I were to do this again, I would shorten the first exposure substantially, maybe down to 2-3 minutes.

My table usually attracts a motley crew of sellers. The deal is that they have to sit there while I wander around. Here Hpward is giving a potential customer for Henning's DR Summicron 50mm f2.0 the quick "how to" use one of these.
Close focus with the Summicron 75f2. You "feel" when the floating element shifts in the lens. You can go down to 0.7 m. The lens is very sharp, almost too sharp for portraits - few of us look that perfect!
Fresh logs deposited on the beach. Most of these are "escapee's" from log booms that has broken up during storms.
Nice addition to the bus stop. Lending and donation library - could make waiting for transit a bit more bearable. Mostly hard cover books. Most used bookstores don't want these as they do take up more space. Should clear out some of my shelves and bring them over.
Shopping cart habitué, They are all over the side walks, dragging their carts along - usually quite friendly and do their own thing. never understood why they need so much stuff though.
Liked the rather gloomy reflections here. The Pyrocat HD in a standard developer run (11 min.agitation every minute) comes out a bit "slow" with nice solid darks. With slower films (here fuji Acros 100) the grain is very fine. It does give a bit exaggerated edge sharpness - similar to Rodinal, but with better mid-tones and high;ights.
The Austrian Parliament Building (German: Parlament or Hohes Haus, formerly the Reichsratsgebäude) in Vienna is where the two houses of the Parliament of Austria conduct their sessions. The building is located on the Ringstraße boulevard in the first district Innere Stadt, near the Hofburg Palace and the Palace of Justice.
The foundation stone was laid in 1874; the building was completed in 1883. The architect responsible for its Greek revival style was Theophil Edvard Hansen. He designed the building holistically, each element harmonizing with the others and was therefore also responsible for the interior decoration, such as statues, paintings, furniture, chandeliers, and numerous other elements. Hansen was honored by Emperor Franz Joseph with the title of Freiherr (Baron) after its completion. One of the building's most famous features is the Pallas Athena fountain in front of the main entrance, built by Hansen from 1898 to 1902 and a notable Viennese tourist attraction. Following heavy damage and destruction during the Second World War, most of the interior has been restored to its original splendor.

Last frame from January 2016. For some reason I decided to shoot mostly 100 iso film for what generally is the rainiest and darkest month of the year here in North West, Go figure,
A second shot (gasp). Traditionally throughout the "Barbershops" project, I haven't taken more than one image per shop, but that's bound to change. There are just so many cool, interesting things going on at some shops, that it warrants more than one 8x10. And sure, 8x10 isn't cheap, but for this project, being thorough with potentially only one chance at the photo means a whole lot more than a couple of bucks right now.
As some of you may already know, straight razor shaves are becoming more and more a thing of the past. They're a joy to have, and as one of the few perks of the this project, I've received a couple of shaves on the house. ^__^
