Finally, a pic I was happy with in the Underground! Actually there is another, but its of my sister and her fella, which I haven't uploaded.

So what have I learned? I like Sensia, but I want to try it shot at rated speed. Indoors it'll give you an extreme green cast. I kind of knew that already. Colour-corrected prints looks lovely with it though. Useable green cast, with bumped up contrast.

Sensia 400 shot at 200, pull-processed by 1 stop to compensate.

Ach! It's that infernal building again.

Impromptu dev report: First time developing two rolls (this and roll #93) at once in single stainless steel tank. As above frame indicates, the lack of air space and its effect on developer circulation in this setup is not ideal (at least on the bottom reel) if you're after professional looking images.

My experiments often start out as mistakes. Case in point: the latest roll I shot in the Yashica-Mat LM was a roll of Acros 100. After shooting three shots of that roll, I realized that my Nikon N2000, which I use for metering, was still set to the ISO of the previous roll I shot, which was Ilford Pan F Plus 50. Oops. So this roll became an experiment in overexposing by one stop and then pull-processing. The Sprint Systems website recommends that when pulling film by one stop there should be no change from the usual development time (typically 10 min. at 68ºF for Acros,) but I decided to go ahead and reduce the development time by about 30 seconds anyway. (I originally intended to reduce the development time by more, but I had a little mishap with my timer. Yet another mistake/experiment.) A few shots came out overexposed/overdeveloped, but most of the shots turned out OK.

Yashica-Mat LM with Yashinon lens, f/22, manual exposure (about 2 seconds.) Fuji Neopan Acros 100 shot at ISO 50, Sprint Systems developer (1+9 dilution, 9 min. 30 sec. at 68ºF)

Or rather...with blood, sweat & tears.

And he was very watchful indeed. The security guard kept staring at me the whole time I was taking light readings and trying to compose. Not sure if he was gonna chase me away or just found my camera interesting. Either way I wouldn't be able to understand him. I find the "rule of third" to be exceptionally hard to follow in square format. Probably time to take out the Hasselblad with a C16 back mounted and take it for a spin.

What better use of a rainy day than to explore a museum with a camera. The Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ontario, has a large collection of vintage warplanes, flightworthy and otherwise. I had the pleasure of going up in this aircraft last year.
