Description on back of picture:
Students from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago responded promptly to the call from riot torn neighborhoods in Chicago to get needed clothing and food supplies to stricken areas.
From left: Wayne Walther, Rowena, Texas; Larry Lindmark, Boone, Iowa; Dave Barnet, Davenport, Iowa; Barry Stoner, Franklin, Michigan; carry urgently needed supplies collected at three Lutheran Churches to their car caravan.
Students and faculty collected over $90 in an emergency “pass the hat” appeal. Classes were suspended one day to consider ways and means of helping in the emergency and days ahead. The seminary remained closed the day of burial for the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King.
I scrapped pages from my trip to California, originally I was going to do pages from my trip every day - a double LOAD because my deadline for finishing the book is July 10 and I have 500 pictures. So two down and a bunch more to go, I used Creative Memories Discovery Baby Boy and the travel element, quote are from Reminisce Travel as is the buff paper under the bedroom and bathroom picture.

Gutter Girlz:
prompt #37
not it!
not the doctor by Alanis Morissette
stitches
Worked all day on the 30th of May to realize at the end I forgot the stitches! Thursday night {3rd} decided to do a pun {it's by the license plate holder- stitched 2gether}. There's a Ikea page from the shelving section, the playing cards are a gift from Hubby when he was in Boston...Harvard square to represent 'learning wisdom", on the right page I used Boston at night-on the left Boston at sunrise to represent not going to bed angry and waking up as happy as possible. Parts of the song that got my attention are as follows: "I don't wanna be lived through a vicarious occaison" + "I don't wanna be adored for what I merely represent to you" + "I don't wanna be the glue that holds your pieces together"
There's a lot going on with these pages and over all that is how relationships are.

Not exactly a fall picture, but as I was on my way to pick up my dog after my trip, the sky was filled with these wonderous clouds. I added text, so I got that part right....

I really wish this didn't have to be my picture. My dress I have had for seven years rubbed off on Michael's favorite shirt in the wash. Seven years I have been washing this dress and this has never happened!
The top of mum's Tiffany lamp. It was quite expensive and we have to be very careful of it! It makes really lovely patterns on the ceiling at night.
Prompt 12 - Look for the light - Photo 2 0f 2
This text from my daughter turned a light on inside of me. She and my husband went on a beach/bird walk with our local Audubon Society this morning. When they got home, they told me about the herons, woodpeckers, osprey, eagles, blue heron, bsand pipers, pelicans, warblers, egrets and an anhinga!
Extra delight when a member of the group shared their photos with us!
We are all birders, and today her happiness lit a candle of joy in me.

This started out as a dryad for #inktober2016 (today's prompt: "tree") but turned darker in tone when I started drawing, not sure why. Anyway, I did have fun messing about with my new Derwent water-soluble pencils and then added an ink outline with my Pentel Pocket Brush. I love doing this stream-of-consciousness doodling, when the drawing sort of takes over and I lose track of time. Anyway, I'm grateful to #inktober for motivating me to doodle more this month!
