Prompt = Virgo = Me
I'm a Virgo - August 29th is my birthday.
Me by the little palm near our condo in Destin, Fl. Photo by my mom.
For today I had another prompt in mind, but today is a special day for me. Today is my mom's birthday, 20 February. She would have been 77 if she were still here. And today, to the day, it is also the day I am as old as my mom was when she died (46 years, 3 months and 20 days – how can that be!).
This occasion seems appropriate for the prompt of today. Today I want to pay a tribute. A tribute to my mom in my case. Maybe for you to someone or something that is special to you.
In this shot I am wearing my moms old watch, the necklace she always wore and the jacket she made herself long ago. My mom loved reading and drinking tea with my brother and me after school. (My grandmother, her mother-in-law, accused her once of being a bad housewife because she loved reading so much. It was true that our home used to look like a cozy mess, but we didn’t mind all). My love for animals I must have got from my mom. She loved cats. (settings: f16.0, 1s, 28mm, ISO 640). (For who is interested, I have written a blogpost: www.jofabi.nl/2011/02/20/a-tribute/)
I would like you to think about a person that is special to you and picture your feelings. Maybe your mother is still around or maybe she is a cherished person in a frame with lots of memories.
Or maybe you don’t have a strong relationship with your mother. In that case picture out what that means to you. What do you feel? Is there anything you want to let your special person know?
This week is all about picturing relationships. That will give you a lot to think about.
Love the face on the mailbox, even if I am not sure about the "airmail" versus "prompt delivery" thing

Image of an elaborate silver coronet (my viscounty coronet, made by Torgul) with a pendant of bronze branches and silver bells (my Branch of Bells, made by Arlin), a bronze linked chain etched with a fealty oath (West Kingdom, made by Laurel Cavanaugh), an etched bronze ring (one of Michael's & my tokens), and a blue and silver necklace (made by me)
The flowers in the garden are exploding with color at the moment. There is so much to see. This collection doesn't even show all the flowers. It is such a treat to walk through the greenness each day and see what is new.

This is for prompt number 5. It was the word silence. It started being something completely different and then it worked its way into being something that has been a reality. I wanted to make the silence as light as possible, barely there, but knowing that it is...just like when intuition strikes when you know someone is lying to you.

Passage of the 'Chairman's Train' of the L.S.L., prompted a jaunt out in fine weather, but with challenging light conditions, last Sunday, 12th October, resulted in much 'recovery' processing later on...
In the upper shot of the 1st two pictures showing York Station, c/o RailCam, the 'Chairman's Train' is seen sat along platform 10 awaiting departure, whilst on platform 11, a T.P.T. class 80 terminates its service, 9E11, from Liverpool Lime Street. In the upper picture, a few minutes later, after the class 80 has cleared out of the way, the charter train makes a noisome exit amidst a flurry of blue smoke from the leading loco, 20107, along with the required 'tooting' upon departure. After departing 'right-time' at 13:02, the set made its way south through Milford and Pontefract Baghill, arriving at Aldwarke Junction where it, and the following moves, were all being held for around 5-6 minutes before continuing on through Masbrough Station, either on the main line into Sheffield or south along the 'Old Road'.
The 3 locomotives marshalled at the front were class 20s and all in fine shape and looking very good indeed, they were-

The set stayed over-night at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway and then the following morning, 13th October, the set was ready by 07:42 for the return, also round-about route, now to London Euston. It departed 10 minutes early at 07:32, on the 1Z89, heading north via Settle Junction, 08:27, Carnforth 09:02, Preston 09:34, Wigan 10:00 and then on to Crewe for 11:14. It paused here for about an hour, during which time class 90, 90002, 'Wolf of Badenoch', Electric locomotive was put on the front, and it departed at 12:04 on south to London Euston, arriving 14:05. What a jaunt that must have been...
Along with the most colourful and interesting charter train from York to the K.W.V.R, it was accompanied before and after by 3 freight workings, two from the south, one after the other and one from the north heading to Peak Forest, a busier Sunday in such a short space of time, I can not recall. The other workings during the 40-minute stay were-
