Should you go first and I remain
to walk the road alone
I'll live in memory's garden, dear
with happy days we've known
in Spring I'll wait for roses red,
when fades the lilacs blue,
in early fall, when brown leaves call
I'll catch a glimpse of you
Should you go first, and I remain
for battles to be fought,
each thing you've touched along the way
will be a hallowed spot
I'll hear your voice;
I'll see your smile,
though blindly I may grope
the memory of your helping hand
will buoy me on with hope
Should you go first and I remain
to finish with the scroll,
no length'ning shadows ahall creep in
to make this life seem droll
We've known so much of happiness
we've had our cup of joy,
and memory is one gift of God
that death cannot destroy
Should you go first and I remain,
one thing I'd have you do;
walk slowly down that long, lone path,
for soon I'll follow you
I'll want to know each step you take
that I may walk the same,
for some day down that lonely road
you'll hear me call your name

My friend Joyce was teaching me how when taking photos on a sunny day, you can find many shadows. So for fun I took this photo of myself. The reflection in the grass almost looks like ice.

Gutter Girlz:
prompt #37
not it!
not the doctor by Alanis Morissette
stitches
Worked all day on the 30th of May to realize at the end I forgot the stitches! Thursday night {3rd} decided to do a pun {it's by the license plate holder- stitched 2gether}. There's a Ikea page from the shelving section, the playing cards are a gift from Hubby when he was in Boston...Harvard square to represent 'learning wisdom", on the right page I used Boston at night-on the left Boston at sunrise to represent not going to bed angry and waking up as happy as possible. Parts of the song that got my attention are as follows: "I don't wanna be lived through a vicarious occaison" + "I don't wanna be adored for what I merely represent to you" + "I don't wanna be the glue that holds your pieces together"
There's a lot going on with these pages and over all that is how relationships are.

One of my frogs. He got a dusting 'specially for the occasion. He's a very happy frog now. Can you see him smiling?!

Prompt #8 from Janel of "Run with Scissors" Journal prompts
Journal Prompt 9: Choose another person who is vert significant in your life right now. It can definitely be the same person that we wrote about on day 3, but I chose to do someone different. Anyway, this prompt is going to be all about those wonderful adjectives, and typography. Describe your special person with as many words as you can fit. For each word, try to use a different font or writing style. This is a great way to practice fun typography!
I chose to do the same person I did for Prompt 3 which is my boyfriend, Darrell.
The prompt was 5 things within reach, already out. My Craft desk is ALWAYS a mess. Way more than 5 things. I decided I would NOT leave my chair for this one. If I couldn't reach it, I wouldn't use it.
Several items were received from a friend in a swap-bot swap. They ALL make me smile. The tissue paper I had on hand. The zentangle PIGGY is from a friend. I added the color to it. Ribbon, paper scraps SMILE letters were in a small baggie. Didn't have the whole alphabet, but I did have SMILE.
Everything was Mod-podged to the pages over the tissue.
My initial prompts for this idea were really born of my love of postal marking ephemera and the unique beauty that emerges from the wearing down and markings of travel. It’s a romantic idea. At first my prompts didn’t really have personal meaning. I just wanted to see what MIdjourney would come up with when fed this idea. I loved it immediately. So then I started feeding it prompts related to Trinidad where my mom is from, like Hibiscus, the national flower, and the sorrel flower and steel pans… I really love the feel of these. It was a lot of fun making them.
