Did you know that many marine birds, including seagulls, can drink both fresh and salt water? They have a gland above their eyes that absorbs the salt from their blood stream is excreted as a salty fluid through the nostrils and down grooves in the bill.
Lol - A lesson in line placement. I swear, I did not draw that horizon line through the gull’s necks, but it is sure visible there. It was accidental, but once seen, I could have lessened the effect by extending the shading past that line. Me though, I was kind of tickled by it and decided to keep it.

The Lipizzan or Lipizzaner (Croatian: Lipicanac, Czech: Lipicán, German: Lipizzaner, Hungarian: Lipicai, Italian: Lipizzano, Serbian: Lipicaner, Slovene: Lipicanec) is a European breed of riding horse developed in the Habsburg Empire in the sixteenth century.
