Prompted by seeing a recent photograph of a Capuchin Monkey at Mato Grosso, Brazil, I decided to post some further images of my own encounter with these monkeys which are particularly gifted in their use of tools. This was the dominant male in action, highly respected by the rest of the troupe.
Capuchin Monkeys were given their name in the 15th century when Portugese explorers encountered them in the Americas and thougt their colouring and 'caps' of dark hair resembled the brown hoods worn by friars of Minor Capuchin.

Visit The Vordun Museum
New born Pronghorn Antelope (Antilocapra americana) fawn in a summer fallow field. It was photographed from a distance using a telephoto lens and the female which was nearby, promptly returned when we departed the area. It was the second female with young we observed in the southwest portion of the prairie landscape near Leader, Saskatchewan, Canada.
