Little Pea modeling her photo props. I almost died when I saw this ruffle romper on Etsy and of course she needed an equally over the top headband to coordinate. I love dressing up Little Pea. I'm also claiming this as part of her milestone portrait series--9 months old.

Project 52 - week 50

Went to Georgetown square to check out the Christmas decorations and lights!

A lot of people like snow. I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water.

This lovely little birdhouse is borrowed every year by different birds. It's located at the senior's home where my father lives now and I couldn't resist.

I'm a little late starting so playing a little catch-up here with all this free time I have. I'm trying to use only my Lensbaby Composer for this 52 week project.

Week 17

Arm Chair Stripes

For Project 52, this week's asssignment was for an "adult beverage." "You had to be there!" was the thought. My original idea of hot chocolate with a butterscotch schnapps bottle, with whipped cream holding a ring on top of it fell through. Literally. (*Sigh*) So, I'm re-working this shot from Macro Monday last year.

Project 52, week 6, 5/5. Isolated.

I knew if I walked down boulevard St-Laurent long enough, I'd encounter a lonely dog waiting patiently for its master to come back out of a store.

This one was super cute and playful and friendly. We got to know each other after I was done exploiting his yearning.

[Technique] = Hand held, low light

This is for week 1, to squeak in the door (before every Wednesday evening). This one was in low light and hand held using the kit lens 28-135 IS. So I don't get that much of DOF nor shutter speed without bumping up the ISO too much. It is a start to the new year.

Project 52: 18/52

Theme: Looking In.

I planned to take this photograph as a symbol for my birthday: A reflection on a quarter century, things I have accomplished and experienced while I move forward for the next quarter century which I hope will be more exciting.

Finding the right spot to take such a photograph in the middle of the road is not that easy and it took me sometime before I had the right opportunity. BTW, I had a great birthday celebration, thanks to my roommate and a friend.

need a friendly person to talk to at a bar and do not mind listening [ a lot ] then just simply slide a seat next to an old black man. #allfun

Wirral365 Project52 Week10

I thought for the project that I would explore all that is "English". No, I don't mean the lager louts that blight our cities, but things that conjure up images of Blighty....Fish & Chips; Warm Beer; Roast Beef......you get the idea. The first of these images are The Red Post Box and the fast disappearing Red Phone Kiosk.

Project 52, week 1, 2/5. Medium / Materials.

Snow is the best medium! You can roll it up into a snowman! You can dig tunnels and make a snow-fort! You can pee your name in it!

03/52 "Inspiration" - I had so many different ideas for this week, so I guess I see inspiration all around me in books, magazines, nature, etc. Today at basketball I was feeling inspired by youth sports. These kids really give it everything and work so hard - I love to watch and cheer them on! That is my boy, number 15, looking to pass and get an assist for a basket. Inspiring!

This is the first in my attempt at taking a self portrait each week this year.

[Event] So this weekend a good reminder, though the sun and weather warm up, it is still spring. After some 70 degree weather, a cold front swept through late last week and dumped hail for 15 minutes
