Nate and Demetria were leaving the coffee shop after concluding a work meeting. They were unlucky enough to fall onto my radar and have a photo taken.
I moved recently, so I've been enjoying walking around town checking out the shops and restaurants. This shop caught my eye... I've got to check it out one day when it's open. :)
Week 4
January 28, 2012-- Project 52 in 2012
Theme: Night Photography
Unfortunately we have to let a lot of outside audiovisual companies run events at our hotel, but I must admit it is nice to watch some of the elaborate setups come together, like this one for Adrianna's Insurance company.
Was going to take a sunlit shot of this yummy beverage, but while trying to light a small lime bead in front of it, came up with the idea you see now. It is backlit with a Maglite, lol. Used a black cloth backdrop. Edited in LR to remove bottle glare on backdrop (using SuperHero Darker and upping the Black)
theme: darks & lights
I love watching the light shine through my window blinds. It brightens my days.
The butterfly was attached to the flowers my father brought me in the hospital and it's sitting on a picture frame.
[34/52] I'm going to be the better person here and not make any jokes here. Nope, nothing about hard whatsoever. Maybe tomorrow, I'll be up for it.
We had a wicked wind and rain storm last night. Lots of trees down and people without power (including my mom across town). We came through it with no major issues, but the pool cover was overflowing, so I've spent the day monitoring the pump and dreaming of warmer weather.
theme: express yourself
this is who I am. I am the girl who loves to watch her purple cotton candy hair blow in the breeze + take photos + listen to mix cds + LOVE.
Went out to shoot specifically for this theme and came back with this. Not sure if it fits the theme but really liked it and felt it deserved a place in my 'project 52' album. Processing was raw conversion, levels and a touch of saturation
On the theme of 'smiles'. This was shot recently whilst catching up, but during the week it was meant to be taken work was very busy and I didn't feel like smiling very much. It put me in mind of a paparazzi-style shot, so that's the direction I took.
