Project 52
For the bees baby!
My nephew @bladingforbees (on IG and FB) is rollerblading 9000km across Canada, to raise awareness of the importance of bees to the environment. 🐝
We need bees!
Follow his crazy adventure at:

He's aiming to break a Guinness World Record in the process too!
Anything Goes 2021: Bees and Butterflies
Twirling, twisting and sliding fun!
(aka: what we do to stay entertained during isolation.)
21:52 Slide that image, doll it up, do it all!
29/52: Project 52 - mirror image
My interpretation of the theme - cut this fig in half so that each half is a mirror image of the other...it's a bit like identical twins though...there are still slight differences! So, I hope this is acceptable for the theme.
4/52: Project 52 - Begins with S
23/100: 100 x challenge - photos from my travels.
This sculpture is one of many art installations in Christchurch NZ.
We saw a very different Christchurch from the city before the earthquake of 2011. The whole city is like one big building site. It is already beginning to take shape but there are many more years of work ahead, both in renovation and new build.
This sculpture, called Nucleus, rotates and the moving parts open and close. This is what the artist says about his work:
“Nucleus: the positively charged centre of an atom. Christchurch was my place of study and remains the centre of my practice, so this title and the sculpture have a special significance for me. The artwork is a celebration of place. The simple singular form made of four equal parts is a reflection of Christchurch, with its well-planned and laid-out built environment. All the parts are connected and necessary for the whole to function. The plinth, with its exposed structure and beauty through function, is a celebration of Christchurch’s engineering and industrial base.”

Once again I apologise for posting and running. We are on the move so much but I am trying to keep up with challenges.
Replication
When I walked out my front door this morning on my way to work and saw the beginnings of the beautiful sunrise (thankfully the sun is coming up later these days), I knew exactly where I was going to stop on my way to work.
I drive past this vineyard everyday and have never taken the time to stop and photograph it. Just think of the opportunities I've missed!
The replicated lines of vines worked beautifully to catch the light as the sun peeked over the horizon.
This is also for sale as a canvas print on my website: www.kevinbrownephotography.com
Thank you for looking.
The more I work on these prompts, the more inspiration I'm finding around my own house. My house was built in 1921; these are the original hardwood floors. Funny story, before this house was renovated four years ago, it was ransacked by raccoons. I'm sure the distress of these floors is mostly due to them, but I like the character it gives, even if it is broken down.
Really struggled for time and inspiration on this weeks prompt but here are the instructions for my new cooker hood printed on some paper. Sorry

I know that this photo does not fit with the weekly theme but I have been abroad for 10 days. No wi-fi, no internet connection.
I could not read the brief, nor study how to post process the photos, or chose a proper subject.
The other morning I saw this wonderful frost that was painted on our shed. I saw how grey and cold that it looked. I feel this photo shows the theme of "Grey"
It's 100 degrees again. (And so, so humid. Huh? I thought I lived in the desert?) So, popsicle time!
It dripped all over my hand, my freshly manicured nails and the floor (I was outside so it's OK!). And then, you know the rest...
