A dual purpose photo for Project52 and a Worth1000 contest. Bastards disqualified me because I signed my work.

This sort of has a jack-o'-lantern feel to it, doesn't it? I loved the way the sun was shining through the trees and forming patterns on the yearlings at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga sale.

I've been grabbing my bachelors degree, so I haven't been able to update the series. I'll make up for it.

Peter is a humanistic friend who also is a splendid photographer.

This week’s theme, Broken, was a fun prompt and one that had me out exploring old and new places. I ended up choosing a photo that is from a place i’ve explored for years and one that I have photographed many times, all in different ways.

This “broken” greenhouse is in my neighbors yard and was built in the early 1900’s along with the garden surrounding it. The garden and obviously the greenhouse started to crumble years ago until my neighbor invested the money into restoring it. They left the greenhouse as is for a reason unknown to me. Even though its broken down, falling apart, and filled with glass from when it was in use, I love the way the ivy has taken over and the rust has begun to discolor it. Part of me wishes it had been restored, but the other part loves to look at it and think about what it was like in use. Not to mention its one of my favorite places to take pictures.

Aller faire des emplettes au marché pour quelques fruits, et repartir avec le sac plein de fruits, légumes et de bonne humeur. Merci Catherine.

Lighthouses, a symbol for moving forward and navigating our way through rough waters. I happened to be in the perfect spot to photograph this week's project 52, Nantucket.

I was not very inspired by this week theme... however this is one of my favourite city square in the area.

Week 14 of Project 52. Brief was Backlighting.

Looks like its right there! Where is my ghost writer to write a good description?? :-)

This was taken somewhere near Palm Beach North of Sydney. We were heading back to Sydney and the sun was setting so I jumped out and took a few photos.

In other news we got our daughter a Canon 1100D, so hopefully she starts taking some good photos!

This is photo #11 in my Project 52

A quick catch up photo this week with a macro lens and some 100s and 1000s. Slight level adjustment in Ps.

Day 340, Monday, December 6th, 2021

Happy Birthday Jenny

Jenny wanted cupcakes for her birthday treat so I got a variety of chocolate and vanilla from the H-E-B bakery. They have the most delicious cupcakes! I put all of the cupcakes into a pan so that I could decorate the tops of them with a happy birthday message and 30 individual candles. It’s not every day that your little girl turns 30!!! We also celebrated with Jenny’s dad, Robby, and his wife, Denise. It was so nice to have a full house. I made Chef Boyardee pizzas for our main meal, a blast from both of our childhood’s (hers and mine!). OhEmGee so delicious!

Taken at the Winchester Fireworks display tonight.

When I downloaded this from my camera I was amazed that the exposure time on this one was 3.2 seconds. I was shooting hand-held!!!

Cupcakes! There's been talk of opening a bakery lately...with a small photography studio in the back....!!!!! Childhood dream come true!

I captured this picture "from the hip" looking into my living from my bedroom. I love layering and framing my subjects and this time, though not purposeful, I used my finger to do so.

This week is supposed to be a self portrait theme. Decided to take my specs instead as the self shots made me look more like a serial killer. I now have the upmost respect for those Flickrites who do this day in day out!

HMBT! (will be catching up later)
