It's been one of those weeks and trying to find joy for this weeks theme has been difficult, but culling through this session from yesterday of my friends one year old grandson is bringing me joy.
He's normally such a good and helpful boy, but sometimes he can be a bit of a monster :)
Why not follow my Facebook page:
I was soo hoping that our little baby would have arrived this week which would have fit into this theme perfectly! Alas we are still waiting to meet him/her! We are both so excited to experience life as a family of 5, and just can't wait to know what we are having. It's such an exciting time, such an amazing experience. I feel so blessed to be able to carry and nurture life inside of me, it's such a miracle. Ready for you now baby!!
I'm going to cheat this week, and use a photo I didn't take myself. (This despite the fact that I'm sitting here in fake eyelashes and therefore really should drag out the camera.)
I don't dance. Ever. Unless I'm alone in my house with the music turned up. Every time I've attempted something to that effect bad things have happened usually involving awkward photos.
On the other hand, I have THE COOLEST JOB in the world. I take pictures of people on the happiest day of their lives. And in the process, I meet some really rad brides, grooms, bridesmaids, and parents. Yesterday's wedding was insanely chill, and so when, at the end of the night, the bridesmaids pulled me onto the floor and wanted me to dance with them, well, I did. Yep, I looked like a tard. We all did. And I loved every minute.
And when in 25 years I'm hobbled from wearing too many heels, when I'm old and responsible, I hope this is what I remember: dancing with abandon, and loving my life.
The "low-key" area of the studio.
As far as boudoir/nude photos go, I think the low-key setup interested me the most.

Text in English at the bottom.

In this case, in the beginning there were no heavens or earth… In this case, in the beginning there was an Arduino Board (Arduino Mega 2560). Then?! Well, then there was Light… And the light came from a 52 Led Digital Lightwand.
That’s right, this is the first part that will create a Digital Light Wand capable of producing images in the air… More about that later… In a following week…

Because I can't hack 365.
First snow of the season. That candle used to live inside a jack-o-lantern.
[Event] Still working on the last of the ad project all over the place, getting some filler shots and I just loved the colors from these chemistry beakers

i was walking my son and his friend home after school when i noticed the light.
I used my phone to snap a quick shot with one hand while trying to restrain the dog from running after them with the other :)
I've passed this storefront countless times, never stopping to think twice about it. It is one of many window displays on this shopping strip and by far one of the most interesting looking ones...if you stop to look at it.
Finally, I stopped and took in all its oddity–the colorful wigs, heads turned in every direction, the reflection of the store. Just think of all the personalities who could come alive by wearing one of these wigs.
I must admit, it's a weird photo and I was hesitant to settle on this one for this prompt, but I am so intrigued by it.

Foto-Buddies Project 52, Week#19: Tools
I wanted to feature my laptop and my husband's laptop for this week's theme on "Tools," with the caption "The Lawyer's and Software Developer's Tool." I was thinking of placing one laptop across the other, and then taking the shot in the dark, with only the light from the LCD screens as the source of light. I couldn't pull it off. Then I got this shot of my office keyboard, and figured this'll do.

She's in a phase. I have to bribe her to use soap. I really hope it's a phase.
This is an HDR of 5 exposures put together with Lightroom HDR merge. It came out too bright so had to adjust the exposure and whites to get a better image.
MCP Project 52 - "The view from here"
"I don't know if it is a mid life crisis, but I think we all have a part of us that likes to break out of the mundaness of life - we take on roles as we get older, but internally we are different -- sometimes the inner life needs to break out and be free for a while before we return to our grown up roles."

These are my favorite pair of shoes. My Jack Purcells. They represent my inner child... I wish I had the courage to wear them every day.

Slight delay in posting for weeks 4 and 5 due to Internet issues! They were taken in the particular week, though I only finished editing week 5 today; the hot weather has meant I've avoided doing anything on my computer but the opening of graduate program applications and the need to get a head start on uni work has ended that. The week 4 photo was another last-minute-on-a-Saturday one, just didn't get around to it during the week. This is Nelly, our Miniature Pony foal (there's photos of her being born etc elsewhere in the feed). I decided she was this week's subject, but she's so friendly she walks right up to me, too close to get a decent photo! This was the best I got, it's a touch out of focus I think, but I like it and thinks it's cute. No editing to this one, just auto tone in Lightroom.

For those who have lost someone dear to them... this has been a hard month for some of my friends.
Subject: Fashion
It's Friday and I need to get something posted. I told Claire (my better half) the subject and she laughed. She doesn't think I am very fashionable or is it that I have no fashion sense whatsoever. Mmmm
So I came up with 3 images:
* One Jeans low showing off my CK briefs - I kid you not
* An array of stripey shirts on the rail - everything seems to be stripes this year, at least where I shop
* Sunglasses
I have always liked buying sunglasses, mainly Ray Ban and Oakley.
So here are my Oakley sunglasses, in the sunshine!! I thought it was a little dull so used a 8-star filter. Oh, well

Half full or half empty? You decide!
I thought this one was going to be easier than it turned out to be - and it's still not 100%. Nowhere near as good as I wanted it to be. I'll have to try again to get the dividing line between the top and bottom halves more realistic.
