Today's Project 365 Pic is of the advertising on the side of a pub near my house.
I love the old Ballarat Bertie ads.
There are still a couple more of these around town.
Good meals at this pub too.
The way the light fell directly through the spaces in the chain onto the stay below drew me into taking this photo. I really like the abstract feeling this composition; The strong criss-crossing lines of the stay, spokes and chain give the image structure, whilst the depth of field creates an interplay between sharp outlines and soft bokeh. The blues and yellows in the corner add an some vibrant colour to an otherwise mute palette.
Pulled another one from the archives. A sad attempt at a self portrait from last year. Focus is off too.
SB800 in front at 1/128 power as an optical slave with the sakar 27m in my hand at full power pointing at the wall triggered wirelessly with my cactus v4's.

I haven't been up to much today, I've just been enjoying my first day off in almost three weeks! My Momma made us this lovely Sunday dinner too! Plus, this is my first food shot! Please press 'L', you won't be disappointed!
Date night
We went to see Collateral Beauty for our anniversary. It was wonderful, but why does hubs look so surprised...scared?

Our foster kittens are becoming foster cats. They are losing their baby teeth. I found this one stuck in the fabric of my fuzzy pink bathrobe, which I guess was used as a teething toy.
My three girls trying to decide what needs to go on the shopping list so that they can cook some actual food this coming week.
Jillian LOVES when we bring her up on our bed to play! She throws herself back, rolls arounds and giggles the entire time! This was a rare moment where Mallory was still sleeping and she had mommy and daddy all to herself!
Project365 Day 68: We've had rain showers before with maybe a roll of thunder or two - but today was near-continuous thunder so I sat on the balcony to listen.
So I was back shooting some World Wheelchair Curling action today for the WCF, and I was focussing a bit on the Team Canada / Team Sweden game. Team Canada skip Jim Armstrong made a funny wince after missing a shot that I caught...looked like he found some "stale" air ...LOL.
It's December in Ohio, which means my poor jasmine is struggling with the indoor life. But it lost this leaf in an interesting place. . .
edit: renumber for restart 1/10/10. here goes a whole lotta badly focused and shooped nothing.
Capped off the summer with a visit to Litte Buffalo so my daughter could swim! Im so proud at how far she has come this summer!

I went caching with Alistair. He found most of the caches and did all the donkey work. Caches are not normally as big as this one!
8.25.2010. Day fifty of 365.
SOUL MEETS BODY WEEK:
I have had and have been getting over strep throat, mono, and severe swimmers itch for the last few weeks.
I'm SO SORRY I have been so M.I.A.
The soul meets body lyrics in each title represent how crappy crappy my body felt, even though my soul wanted to feel better and happier. So sorry if I bore you!
I am catching up, slowly.
Forgive me!
Love to all-- I've missed you!
