Project 365 picks a weekly challenge that you can participate in at your discretion. I will probably never enter the challenge but I am going to use it for the inspiration that is so lacking in my photos lately. This week is fire. I lit a candle and took a picture.

I knew I would stop by rape fields a couple of times. This one taken from a series of shots on my way to work - I could easily bathe in this yellow sea...
Our first stop was Progreso which is a very sad tourist port. Not the favorite one among many tourists but you can get good excursions. Last time we weren’t to one of the ruins and it was amazing. This time we decided to go to Merida to see some of the sights, try their food and drinks. It was a great day.
Got to check out some hip-hop storytelling by El Guante, Seemore Perspectives, and First Wave. Great, very moving performances.
The UW is home to the First Wave Spoken Word and Urban Arts Community that puts on a lot of interesting programming, which you can learn more about here. This evening's show was part of a month-long EXPLORATORY series on storytelling put on by Wisconsin Union Directorate.
The light was very low for this show, so getting a decent photo was tough. El Guante is a very dynamic performer, so at least this image captures that! He'll be back in Madison in early March for a CD release party at the Union.

Good day at work, tons to do. After, I ran a little over 3 miles and it l felt great! I applied my #ChiRunning technique and my knee felt good. Then, I did yogalates, showered, eat and here I am, it's sleepy time and I'm so pumped (in the most relaxed and serene kind of way, lol) night night.
there was a "medical emergency" on the blue line this morning. surprisingly, someone survived a head-on encounter with a train down at jackson. all power was shut off to southbound service, and i love how the workers glibly tell everyone to take the 56 bus instead. because we all know that the hundred or so people who normally fill a ten car train, will have no problem squeezing onto a few buses. right. thanks again cta.
Eurgh. This was a hard day. I went for a run to begin with. And then I walked (for 35 minutes) to the town, almost stood on a frog, rang Emma and shouted at her for a bit (we were meant to meet up), went to the bank, dropped a CV into Argos and handed my form into school. Then I walked all the way back home which took me 45 minutes because I was exhausted and had little food to eat. My bum was killing afterwards lol.
