People talking in the crowd before the June Toronto Critical Mass ride.

This morning started really early, just before 5am. My office's sister department is in Stevenage, and I was intending to go and visit it.

So, I got up bright and early, defrosted the car and made it to the airport in good time. Getting through security took very little time, and as I walked to the departure gate I met a friend and chatted for a while before my plane was ready to go.

The plane left on time at 7am, and I travelled to the office. Behind me, the airport was shut at 0915 as the worst snowfall in forty years caused travel chaos in Scotland. I blithely travelled on to the office, where I spent a long day working through various issues with my colleagues.

It had been a long day, and at the close of the business day I was glad to make the short walk to the Holiday Inn Express. I checked in, and went to my room...

It may not be the highest class hotel in the world, but it's comfortable and quiet... and I was more than ready to chill out for a few hours before going to sleep!

My doctor said drink lots of fluids, which I did. She didn't say anything about pizza though. Still a girl has to eat.

We've been living with this as our "entertainment center" for 18 months. This will soon be replaced by an actual piece of furniture some time soon. Also note my birthday present from my husband: Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 for the PS3. One of the cards I got for my b-day said "Aging is inevitable, maturing is optional."

May 9 Some days of 365 are easy, but today wasn't one of those days. Lots to do at work, then going straight home and doing the domestic thing. Luckily, I noticed these growing under the transformer at work.

Jan 25 - It rained today...alot. But the temperatures "soared" into the 50's (farenheit), so there's that!

Today's Project 365 is of a labour exchange that I did today.

A mate of mine came around and installed an new toilet cistern for me, so I fixed his MacBook for him.

Win-Win!

I told my boss that today was National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day and he looked at me and my desk and said "So, where's the cookies?" Well…since I didn't find out until this morning, I couldn't do anything about it. Tomorrow, though, is National Education Bosses' Day (or something like that…) so the secretaries are bringing treats. I had 2 really ripe bananas, so these are actually Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. Yum.

First sip of Desperado, a beer I'd first heard about in Canada.

And no, I have no idea what that guy is wearing in the background. A crop top?

A quarter saved is .2450 cents earned if H.R.4646 passes.

Super busy this week and the upcoming week but I will be catching up with everyone slowly . :))))

Watch this: www.mtv.com/videos/world-of-jenks-ep-7-road-warriors/1650...

It's an episode of The World of Jenks about Sierra from the band Versaemerge. Honestly, it made me cry. She's very inspiring and it shows the real side of the rock-band, touring lifestyle.

That's how I like 'em. 3:)

Got the SG job. Cool, right?

When Brant lived at home we did not have a mud room and he always left his shoes by the door in this corner of the dining room. He's never adjusted to leaving them in the mud room and out of habit takes them off in the dining room. Now he's teaching his little girl to do the same thing. When I woke up this morning and saw these shoes by the door it made me smile.

I hate winter. I feel all pasty pale. When I went to the drugstore this weekend they had this bronzing powder on sale. I haven't tried it yet.

206/365 Thursday 25 July 2013 - I'm still a bit zombiefied but a spot of hand quilting on the sofa means I can relax and be productive.

The dog wasn't feeling well for a number of days. Here he is wrapped in a warmed blanket.

9pm, hadn't taken a photo today and the battery is dead in the camera - had to use the polaroid, hey I found out my polaroid has a brightness button here are the 3 settings.

I got a new toy today... hooray gorilla pod!

Driftwood (on El Camino near Fry's) makes great sandwiches and they ask the all important question: You want bacon on that? You betcha!

HDR "painting" of the bus stop. The church steeple in the picture is the same one from 1-19-2007 seen here.. flickr.com/photos/frankmichelivt/363694897/ This is one of my experimental HDR pictures with some light effects added. I also gave it a little bevel and emboss with some shadows so it appears to be on a frame of some sort. I have been experimenting with the clouds and the sky, but this time of year in Illinois there aren't any pretty clouds. Its either overcast or clear.
