2013 - 303/365 - New shoes

Its funny how Domo's feelings so closely reflect my own.

The opening for the Undergrad Art Show was tonight- I got in two paintings and they were hung right next to each other. The left one is from a few weeks ago, the right from last semester.

An impromptu brought forward advance birthday celebration! Should be taking place tomorrow, but the little girl's grandma remembered her appointment at the last minute. Happy 5th birthday, little girl!

Setting up everything for the 1.1.2010 - then it's time to start my "Project365 - one photo the day"...

12.03.2010 - When it's cold outside even the plants try to get in.

Dreary cold & rainy day here on the Texas Gulf Coast - this cute little statue is at the park in my subdivision, Tuscan Lakes in League City.

206/365 Thursday 25 July 2013 - I'm still a bit zombiefied but a spot of hand quilting on the sofa means I can relax and be productive.

I tried a couple of years ago to do a picture every day, but I didn't get very far. I figured the first of the year was a good time to try again. This isn't exactly what I would have planned to start with, but I just decided this morning to do this. I worked last night, and have to get to bed so I can work again tonight. This is definitely going to be a challenge!

The dog wasn't feeling well for a number of days. Here he is wrapped in a warmed blanket.

Canon PowerShot S95

Lightstands, etc.

Well, I did it. After talking and thinking about it for at least a year, today I took the leap and bought a whole set of bits and pieces necessary to populate my basement studio. Here we see the two lightstands that will hold my two speedlights. Still in the box in the background is the seamless background holder and in two very long boxes in my entrance way are rolls of white and black seamless background paper. Oh, and two umbrellas over there on the table.

Now all I've got to do is find time to clean my basement and set everything up.

Project 365 picks a weekly challenge that you can participate in at your discretion. I will probably never enter the challenge but I am going to use it for the inspiration that is so lacking in my photos lately. This week is fire. I lit a candle and took a picture.
