My youngest is still feeling under the weather and wanted me to buy some Halls to ease his sore throat. He was reading the wrapper and says, "Mom, I don't get it". So I had to have a look at what he was talking about. I couldn't believe what I read. "Don't wait to get started"! How's that for pressure? No more slowing down when you aren't feeling on top of the world. No. Now not only will your niggling little voices make you feel guilty, but Halls is here to join the chorus! Fortunately for my son, he doesn't get it. He can relax.
IMG_6868 yesterday there was a terrific bank of clouds -but no camera -today not remotely as impressive at exactly the same time!
So, at my previous employer (<2011) had this really cool Godzilla toy on my desk shelves. When I started at my new company, I never migrated my toys or pictures. I found the box in which I had all of that stuff stored!!!! The building sits on a platform that will break the building into pieces when Godzilla attacks.
Capped off the summer with a visit to Litte Buffalo so my daughter could swim! Im so proud at how far she has come this summer!
Fantastic afternoon tea at Sarah's (I don't know anybody else with a pink tea set or indeed a cake plate). Rest assured I went home and immediately chewed on some nails, wrestled a bear and did lots of other manly things involving power tools and not reading instruction manuals. ... I have decided to do Project 365 this year, starting today.
It involves taking one photo each day for the whole year.
These pics will be of something that happened during the course of the day. I won't be just using my EOS either, I will use camera phone, el cheapo digital cameras or whatever I can get my hands on.
I predict some pics might be quick and dirty, but it is a visual diary, not a fashion shoot.
I won't be adding too much to these in the way of borders and watermarking, that way you can distinguish them from my normal uploads.
Some day's I may not have the equipment to upload a pic, but each pic will be taken on it's own day.
Today's pic was taken at Lake Wendouree. I watched these guys struggling with their outboard motor for some time. They were pretty happy to be on their way, before crowds of hungover walkers formed
Today's Project 365 photo is of my new coffee mug.
It looks exactly like a Canon Lens, but is hollow with a thermos insert.
The lens hood/cap is the lid.
Although I don't drink coffee, I'm sure I'll enjoy many cups of tea in this one.
Today's Project 365 pic was taken during a drive around properties in the Beeac/Ondit area, that used to be owned and farmed by my ancestors.
While we stopped to look at the house in the background, this old ute caught my eye as the subject for today's picture.
Met with a group of knitters at MashCraft Brewing downtown - it was an interesting group of people. They usually meet twice a month on Sundays - I will definitely be meeting with them again!
We went to the Abba Mania show today and it was pretty unreal.
I don't believe I've seen a tribute "band" quite as good as these guys. The whole performance was very "polished", and certainly worthy of an entry in my Project 365 album.
WTF is this. seriously? I eventually got it clarified - it is Bloonies and it is not to be eaten even though it bloody well looks like she's eating it. LOVE THIS PLANET, SRSLY.
