project365: day 23 of 365+1

I took this at a Ultimate Frisbee game during lunch today. This is a favorite game of mine to play but I’m so out of shape right now that I had much more fun shooting the action from the sidelines. This is my very first time shooting any type of fact action, running type of sporting action and it was really exciting. It took me a little while to get a feel for what to shoot because I didn’t want to just spray and pray. I was trying to capture the moment right before the action. This worked really well because if I missed the shot I would actually get the action. I really like the simplicity of this shot which I think helps with the epic feeling I trying for.
Today's Project 365 pic sees my nephew digging for worms in the garden (No... he is not taking a dump) so he can go fishing.
The boys are keen on fishing lately, so their clever Grandparents kill two birds with one stone and get them to pull out weeds while they look for their bait.
The boys had a snow day today, so while I worked from home the eldest went outside to build his first snowman with out his dad :( STOP GROWING UP :(
Finally had a chance to get the telescope out. I figured out how to get a 2x barlow lens into the mix with a variable length camera adapter. I didn't have much time to play, but this is the best shot out of the few that I took. It is full size, I only cropped out blank space.
Even though today was a nice sunny day in Ballarat, I decided to go Black & White for today's Project365 pic, just for something different.
These are the ramps used to load and unload livestock at the Ballarat Saleyards.
Tonight they will be bustling with activity as the semi trailers unload thousands of sheep for tomorrows market.
This is my second week back at work after a year of maternity leave. Sigh. Actually, I did miss the people, and I even like the work. But I could've done without ever attending another meeting, I think....

Photo a day.
I went swimming with my niece today, these are her water wings which she may not need much longer.
Not a great pic as my lense was starting to steam up!
I am completely sucking at this. I have been off and not uploading on time. I've been watching my stats die slowly. I must be persistent. It's been nice out this whole week and have I been out taking pictures like I said I would? NOPE.
I've been doing something completely different. Enjoying the day and forgetting about my poor camera. Anyway, I thought this picture was cool because the light reflected off my eyes making it look like I was wearing some sort of colored contacts.
Also, on another note, spring break is almost over =(. AND I will get caught up on my contacts streams, eventually (sorry)
Horrible awful nogood very bad rainy day. So looking for something in the house to take pictures of. This tangle of colors hangs in our hallway. It is a mixture of motorcyle nets and dog stakeouts.
Ok. I am really stretching here. It is a jar of one of my hair products on my feather boa. I had a boring day. Didn't have anything happen to take pictures of. I liked these colors.
Today's Project 365 pic is of some old advertising for Velvet Soap on the side of a former shop.
I drive past this wall quite often, but have never stopped to take a picture of it.
There is another Velvet Soap advert on the side of a shed in Dean, not far from Ballarat. I took a photo of it a few years ago www.flickr.com/photos/deanog/387580686

I had a crazy busy day and there were 100 things I could have taken pictures of. But then I went into the dining room and our two meezers had crawled into their cat house and were sleeping all curled up together. But they are both HUGE cats (approx 13lbs each) so they don't fit in there and their legs and tails were hanging out. It was too cute not to photograph. I love them.
