To help me in my training for my triathlon in June, we've joined the YMCA.

I read in the Daily Camera on Saturday of a man killed riding his bike down 14th and Mapleton. At the time it seemed just a sad event. Today I learned that the deceased was Matt Powell, a work colleague from my PVI days whom I remember well for snowboarding / ski train events, liaison with hardware vendors, and chasing the Fedex truck across town. RIP Matt

Today's Project 365 pic is of dusk at Lake Wendouree. The sun had disappeared so the clouds in all directions had turned pink.

I decided to go to the lake to capture it instead of getting blocked by neighbours houses from the back yard.

It's rare these days that I'm able to get a photo of either of my children sleeping, they almost always hear me and wake up. This morning however Jillian was sleeping very soundly and I was able to snap this shot! I hope she was dreaming sweet baby dreams!

Project365: 2011 - Day 20

Something I don't get to do a lot of, but I enjoy it when I can get some down time. Today, my goal was to get a shot of me actually watching tv, but I couldn't get it to look right so I figured, why not have it look like I'm trying to change the channel :)

One more day and then I'm changing the theme of the week. Not sure what I'm doing tomorrow but it's going to be fun :)

Today's Project 365 pic is of my new iPhone 4 that arrived today (on the right) and my iPhone 3 that went into the washing machine last week (on the left).

I got the water damaged iPhone into a container of rice straight away but it was 4 or 5 days before I could get it to switch on again.

The backlight is flakey/scratched and camera doesn't work any more, but I was able to get a backup of it to transfer to the new one.

The new model has a display called 'Retina' , looks like my old one has 'Cataracts' .

Anyone wanna buy a second hand, slightly working iPhone 3?

I am going to take on the tremendous Project365 feat.

So, Eh hem.

7.08.2010. Day one of 365.

Encouragements, criticisms, and inspiration are embraced! I'll need all the flickr motivation I can get!

SOOC, by the way.

Oh, and I thought it appropriate to make the first picture a self portrait. And I think I'll make the 365th picture a self portrait as well... I'm likin' this already!

Thoughts?

Day 42

10 July 2009

Having just opened a new package of Starbucks Breakfast Blend, whole bean, I thought I would get a little creative with the beans. I know, it's not that original, but I'm still happy with how it turned out.

Today's Project 365 pic was taken in Eureka Stockade Park.

I like this lake, so this is the best angle to see it from at the moment.

If you picture a construction site over your right shoulder, you can get the full experience.

The Eureka Centre is undergoing a revamp at the moment so most of the hillside has been carved out to accommodate the new additions.

Project365 Day 125: Bottles of wine from Cappadocia. Well... a magnet of wine bottles from Cappadocia. :)

Creating some plants in cans with the kids

I am trying to get closer to get more detail. I had to edit this one quite a bit to get more detail to pop so it looks a little "odd"

Day 105: I decided to venture outside today to take some pictures, though limiting my travels to the stairways of my building because the rain and cold. When i saw this sprinkler head i thought of cross processing it, b.c of the red and green oxidation.

However I played with some selective color processing and decided to go with my initial thought on which to use.

It seemed like a good idea, but when we got there, it smelled of chip fat, so we didn't bother! Oh the joys of service stations on the A1 day#31

Today I won at shopping. My Fluevog refund paid for both these cute Camper ankle boots and this gorgeous Rudsak messenger bag.

Finally had a chance to go outside when it wasn't below freezing.
