This is my second week back at work after a year of maternity leave. Sigh. Actually, I did miss the people, and I even like the work. But I could've done without ever attending another meeting, I think....
Early summer means rainy season here in Japan, so we get really excited about any glimpse of blue sky.
Horrible awful nogood very bad rainy day. So looking for something in the house to take pictures of. This tangle of colors hangs in our hallway. It is a mixture of motorcyle nets and dog stakeouts.
Today's Project 365 pic is of some old advertising for Velvet Soap on the side of a former shop.
I drive past this wall quite often, but have never stopped to take a picture of it.
There is another Velvet Soap advert on the side of a shed in Dean, not far from Ballarat. I took a photo of it a few years ago www.flickr.com/photos/deanog/387580686
05/05/09 – Day 125 of 365
One of my earlier photos was my strawberry patch. This is one of the blossoms. It sure has rained a lot this spring. I think the weatherman said record rain for Spring!
I had a crazy busy day and there were 100 things I could have taken pictures of. But then I went into the dining room and our two meezers had crawled into their cat house and were sleeping all curled up together. But they are both HUGE cats (approx 13lbs each) so they don't fit in there and their legs and tails were hanging out. It was too cute not to photograph. I love them.
An alpaca shepherd tends to her herd not far outside the village of Chivay in the highlands of Peru.

I made it through the first month of the project. I'm pleased with the results so far and feel motivated to keep going.
Today's Project 365 pic is of a rusty wall of a shed that I drive past all the time.
It is popular with photographers, and I have seen several couples getting wedding photos done in front of it.
The sunset really brought out the rust, but I have tweaked the photo a little as the sky and sun were overexposed
Another day, another heavy rain shower falls at home. I thought I left this kind of thing behind me in Vancouver...
