Well it's been quite a past few days!!! My oldest son is now married and what a lovely wedding and time it was! One little problem, but not with the wedding, was on the way home Sam pulled over for me to take a landscape shot, and when I jumped outta the car I landed in a huge hole and kinda jarred my back. So I'm moving slow today and then back to work tomorrow...what a drag!!!!!!!!!!!!
The wedding was so much fun!!! Wish I could bottle both of my boys wedding and whenever I need some healing medicine, take a shot of wedding!!! LOL I'm so thrilled for both my sons!!! ♥ This was a scene taken at the main lodge where we had meals. What an awesome place...Lochsa Lodge in Idaho!!!! ♥ Large view is best! :)

Some of the transport aircraft in the Science Museum collection have an Irish connection - Des McCarthy's 1936 DC3 EI-AYO was ferried from Shannon to the storage facility at Wroughton 20/11/78, Aces High ex Lanzair L749 Connie N7777G after a long time parked at Dublin was dismantled in the summer of 1983 and transported to Wroughton where it was painted in an early TWA livery, Lockheed L10A Electra NC5171N had a nav problem en-route from Reykjavik to UK and ended up in Shannon 16/6/1982 before going on to Wroughton also the destination of Boeing 247 N18E that went through Dublin at the end of July 1982-

Chaukhamba, literally means four pillars, stands as the tallest (7,138 m) mountain amidst the ranges of Gangotri massif.
This was taken from Deoriatal camp site, Uttarakhand.
Every time I see a mountain so massive, a feeling of being so puny and so inexistent surfaces to my mind and in that moment of disbelief, I find all the troubles and futile problems I whine about fade away.
To our Transatlantic Cousins - I can't claim this is my own - it cropped up on a web thread discussing the ridiculous toilet debate going on in the States right now

I went for a drive to visit some villages not far from my home and passing farms along the way I came across this field of Rape seed! The lines of the crop and the field of wheat in the background drew my eye forward. For many years people in these islands have been dependent on warmer climes for good cooking oil. Today Rape Seed Oil has done away with that need and now good quality Irish oil is used in many homes and restaurants as an equal to Olive oil!
Rapeseed is a Brassica and in fact is closely related to the turnip. It contains a very high level of erucic acid and until better methods of processing were developed it was not nutritious or palatable for animals or humans. Today that problem has been solved and as well as for cooking it is also palatable for Bio-Diesel engines:-)
More macro practice today with the Pentax K1. I believe that you can use a crop lens on a full frame body with no problems.
All the big spoons were dirty so I had to eat my cereal with a little spoon. Now I'll take forever to finish it.

ODC-Problem Solved
I had to replace one of my tires so I used the bologna tire to get to the garage and get the tire changed.
There hasn't been much to see at Waugh's yard for quite some weeks, so I was very surprised indeed when I stopped this morning and saw this. Really sad to see that Escort Osprey, but looking up the MOT history shows the usual Ford rust problems. More surprising is the red Lexus that I've documented before - how the hell did that end up getting scrapped?
Update -
A double-whammy - I photographed both of them after chatting with the owners, so really it's quite surreal to see both of these cars scrapped at the same time, especially as both of my encounters with the owners had been in the same Tesco car park in Leith.

Eu já estava desanimado pois choveu a madrugada inteira, logo pela manha entrei no site do Clube e as pessoas estavam dizendo que o tempo estava abrindo, eu fui olhar na Janela e nem a Igreja da Penha estava vendo tamanha era a neblina por aqui, mas fiquei observando o site e cada vez mais pessoas estavam dizendo que o tempo estava abrindo e que estavam se dirigindo para la.
Acabei me animando e fui para la.
Quando alguem me falava que ia com o pai quando crianca, eu ficava meio curioso porque o meu Pai nunca tinha me levado, ontem descobri o motivo, é meio chatinho, acho que mesmo quando criança não iria curtir, mas a saida foi legal para poder estar com os Amigos do Clube, pois são pessoas de melhor qualidade e tambem para fazer umas fotos do centro do Rio em angulos que normalmente não dá para fazer por causa do fluxo de automoveis, mas essas fotos vou postar futuramente.
Os 72 participantes foram depois para o Amarelinho da Cinelandia, no Final eu ainda fui ver os Normais 2 pela Segunda Vez.
Agora em Relação aos emails que recebi sobre vocês sabem quem, como disse ontem, antes já era dificil deu perder tempo com isto, agora então que vai ser mais dificil, pois da muito trabalho,

Potters of Bankura create exquisite horses out of clay, in a village called Panchmura, 25 km from Bishnupur, in West Bengal, India. This handcrafted clay horse are known for their symmetric shape and rounded curves with an erect neck and ears and is acclaimed for its striking elegance.
Bankura horse has been part of a 300-year old tradition of Panchmura Village. The scope of this terracotta art form got a shot when late Sri Rashbehari Kumbhakar got the President’s Award in 1969. As a result of this some initiatives were taken then for the revival of Panchmura crafts. Subsequently, the Bankura Horse evolved as a symbol of West Bengal, adopted by the State Tourism Board. It is the crest motif of the Central Cottage Industries Emporium. Government of West Bengal and UNESCO have joined hands to develop this place as a Rural Craft Hub to be managed by the artists themselves.
Bankura horses are considered to be ridden by Dharmaraj (Sun God), and are therefore offered as a token of devotion to folk deities. During the late medieval period, the terracotta art of Bishnupur - Bankura began under the Malla dynasty. There are other legends about the origin of the horse and one of them was it being created to appease the gods in granting the boon of an offspring to a childless maharani of the Malla kings. The offering worked and since then the horse has gained a reputation as the symbol of fertility, the reason why they are always made and sold in pairs!
To begin with, alluvial soil with a little amount of sand should be smooth enough to be turned into proper shape on the potter’s wheel. The parts that have come off the wheel are placed in direct sunlight. The potters never use any artificial colour. Instead a special coloured soil is used. Coloured figurines are then fired in the kiln.
Beside horse, items like elephant, Manasa Jhar, dashabatar taas, the idols of gods and goddesses are very popular. Various artisans had to switch over from making horses and elephants to utility items like conches, flower vases, home decorative items and artefacts, tiles and panels to find a larger market.
Only the ‘Kumbhakar’ community of Panchmura (around 60 families) is still struggling to keep this craft tradition alive with their sincere effort and dedication. The potters of Panchmura fall in the category of Other Backward Classes (OBC). The ‘Panchmura Potters’ Society’ was set up in around 2005-2006. The aim was to properly organize the craft production and providing a suitable marketing opportunity by the Society.
