So, I have been having problems with this camera. I think I may have finally figured out what is going on with the thing and I think I may be able to fix it myself.
My 1939 Ikoflex III (853/16) with back open.

I think it is a light leak due to the film door being slightly off kilter and the deterioration of the light seal at the top of the door.
Problem #2:
The shots run together and overlap.

This is a common problem with old cameras with automatic frame counters and it's caused by a very slight, but noticeable to the frame counter, difference in the thickness of contemporary rollfilm emulsion and paper backing versus the thickness of emulsion and paper backing of rollfilm from 60+ years ago. Old metal spools have a thicker core than contemporary spool.
Basically, emulsion and paper backing is thinner today and this caused the overlapping, especially in the center frames.
You can do one of two things to solve this: take a contemporary plastic spool, cut a piece of typing paper into a strip 21/4 wide by five inches long and tightly wind this around the center of the spool, taping it secure. This will thicken spool up to the diameter the frame counter will function properly on. Use this modified spool as you take-up spool.
Second, find one of the old metal spools and use that as your take-up spool. You can find these prety cheaply and plentifully on eBay. I add a piece of 21/4 by 3 inch piece of paper to compensate for the thin contemporary rollfilm emulsion and paper backing.
Problem #3:
When winding on, the film advance does not stop at 1, sometimes it stops at 2, sometimes 3, sometimes it keeps going and going and going. Like the Energizer bunny. Extremely frustrating.
I am hoping the fix for #2 above will also fix this.

Florets of goldenrod (Solidago). Goldenrod is a very common plant. The Wikipedia article on them says that they get unfairly blamed for causing a lot of allergy problems, but those are mostly caused by ragweeds, not goldenrods, which are more conspicuous..

This is actually a 365 day project reject, but seriously - look at this damn dog's paws. It's an allergy, but I can't figure out what kind - food or grass. It's impossible to keep him off the grass, so I've been doing trial and error with food for month.
It's a good thing he's the best dog in the world.

Hermosillo, Sonora, 8 de febrero de 2014.- Tiene 63 años y, desde hace 10 meses, los doctores le dieron una terrible noticia que con valentía, esfuerzo y resignación ha logrado asimilar: sufre de limitaciones de movilidad, a causa de un problema en su cadera.
Ella es Sofía Díaz Urquídez, vecina de la colonia Manuel Gómez Morín, quien de manera inmediata recibió ayuda por parte del Sistema DIF Hermosillo, gracias a las gestiones realizadas por la presidenta del organismo, Silvia Félix de López Caballero.
Y es que Sofía nunca imaginó que un recado enviado con una amiga a la presidenta del DIF Municipal tendría una respuesta inmediata, al entregarle durante la jornada comunitaria realizada en su colonia, una andadera para que pueda desplazarse por sí misma.
“Le pedí ayuda a la señora Silvia a través de un recado y pensé que no me iba hacer caso; me sorprendí cuando me dijeron que estaba aquí, en el parque, con la andadera ya lista para mí. La verdad no lo podía creer, me atendió de inmediato, de un día para otro”.
Estoy muy agradecida y le voy a echar ganas; yo dormía todo el día porque no me podía mover sin una andadera y para no darle lata a mi familia, me quedaba acostada, agregó. “Ahora podré ser más independiente. Muchas gracias por escucharnos, por solidarizarse con nosotros, con el pueblo”, señaló la señora Urquídez.
Para la presidenta de DIF Municipal, atender de manera inmediata y brindar resultados de forma continua, es la misión fundamental del organismo a su cargo, de modo que durante cada jornada comunitaria se atienden casos a los cuales se les da seguimiento hasta llegar a una solución.
“No podemos fallarle a la gente. Ellos esperan días para acercarse a nosotros, para encontrar una solución y eso es en lo que trabajamos. Tanto el presidente municipal, Alejandro López Caballero, como yo, sabemos la importancia de atender así los casos que nos llegan. Somos un gobierno ciudadano y eso mismo transmitimos a las demás dependencias”, enfatizó.
Durante la jornada comunitaria en la colonia Gómez Morín, los vecinos tuvieron oportunidad de acercarse, platicar y escuchar las sugerencias de la presidenta de DIF Municipal, quien los atendió y de inmediato canalizó sus casos a las instancias correspondientes.
En esta ocasión, se destacó además la apertura del Centro de Apoyo en la Formación de Valores (CAFV) recién inaugurado por el alcalde Alejandro López Caballero; hubo servicios como consultas y medicamentos gratuitos, bazar de ropa usada, mercado municipal, corte de cabello y fomento de la cultura.

I keep seeing these flickering squares in sl (and only in sl), usually around my av but at lamb earlier they were actually near the wall around my av. At first I thought I was seeing things lol.

I cleared cache, updated my graphics card and tried the newest versions of LL viewer, Exodus and Firestorm. The squares are still there.
Anyone have any clue what the hell is going on?
