The iguana was a first class model. He just seemed to love the camera. Photographed at Paignton Zoo in Devon
“This beautiful avenue of beech trees was planted by the Stuart family in the eighteenth century. It was intended as a compelling landscape feature to impress visitors as they approached the entrance to their Georgian mansion, Gracehill House. Two centuries later, the trees remain a magnificent sight and have become one of the most photographed natural phenomena in Northern Ireland.
The iconic beech trees have been used as a filming location in HBO's epic series Game of Thrones®, representing the Kingsroad.

The garden has now filled in with flowers and is looking quite splendid. The daffodils and tulip blooms are finished and have been deadheaded and the lupines, wall flowers and bluebells are now in full bloom and are dominating the garden, with other species about to bloom including French lavender and Icelandic poppies. Increasing numbers of bees are present, but so far the only butterflies are the occasional white cabbage butterflies.

I don't do this type of photography often. Flowers are not my thing. However while in line for a coffee these were in a vase just begging to be photographed. I knew from the beginning that I was going to do something else with the image. Using both Photoshop effects and the program Topaz I made this into an artistic impression of a painting.
"My dreams are a cruel joke. They taunt me. Even in my dreams I'm an idiot... who knows he's about to wake up to reality. If I could only avoid sleep. But I can't. I try to tell myself what to dream. I try to dream that I am flying. Something free. It never works..." — Vanilla Sky

My portie and burmese cat sitting side by side starting at me as I sit at the edge of the bed eating a bowl of cereal with milk. They are trying to look cute and hungry to persuade me into sharing the milk at the bottom of the bowl. I grabbed a quick shot with an iPhone 15 and they didn't move a muscle (the BG was replaced in generative fill). And yes they did each get a little milk and shared nicely. The dog knows that the cat goes first and then he gets to finish up.

“The Old Bushmills Distillery is an alcohol (primarily Irish whiskey) distillery in Bushmills, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, founded in 1784 and owned by Proximo Spirits. Bushmills Distillery uses water drawn from Saint Columb's Rill, which is a tributary of the River Bush. The distillery is a popular tourist attraction, with around 120,000 visitors per year. It produces the Bushmills brand of Irish whiskey.
The company that originally built the distillery was formed in 1784, although the date 1608 is printed on the label of the brand – referring to an earlier date when a royal licence was granted to a local landowner to distil whiskey in the area.[1][2] After various periods of closure in its subsequent history, the distillery has been in approximately continuous operation since it was rebuilt after a fire in 1885.”

In the foreground is Southwark Cathedral (Anglican) – a church with different names and partrs that date back 1086. Rising from behind is The Shard – 72-storey glass skyscraper with a jagged peak and completed in 2012.
A few bees and butterflies are starting to show up. The lupines that overwintered have begun to bloom. Wall flowers are blooming and the tulips are towards their end for the season. A few tall allium are starting to bloom and lots of annuals are starting up. Long established rhododendrons are blooming well.
