I tell myself, "no more," but I can't help it. Sitting there over a baloney sandwich, this group has been staring at me for a few days. So I wondered how they'd look sort of backlit on the iPhone. Not half bad. They'll all be gone soon, and not here to tempt me anymore. Until next year.
These birches were once out of water. Georgian Bay water levels have risen high enough that these trees are in the water. Slowly becoming Petrified. I have taken many photos of these trees and I have yet to be satisfied with the outcome.
An interior view of Austin's City Hall looking toward the south entrance. The inside atrium is lined with a stunning combination of Texas limestone and cooper.
The copper-clad building, completed in 2004, is the work of lead architect Antoine Predock, principal of Antoine Predock PC. In Detroit’s Harmonie Park (formerly GermanTown, and Black Bottom). This part of downtown is going through a major resurgence right now.
Although it has only one Bend, the Serpentine takes its name from its snakelike, curving shape, The lake was created in 1730, when Queen Caroline, wife of George II, ordered the damming of the River Westbourne as part of a general redevelopment of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. It was the location for the 1977 Silver Jubilee celebrations and a venue for the 2012 Olympics. Image made during the third week of October 2024, and I was amazed at the summer-like weather all week long.

And then Christ showed me a tiny, round thing. It was about the size of a hazelnut, which I held in the palm of my hand. And I wondered, “What might this be? How can this last? It is so tiny, it could just fade into nothing!” This is the answer that came to me. “In this small thing is all of creation! It lasts and it always will last because God loves it. In this way all creation lasts because God made it, God cares for it, God loves it.”
