In memory of Princess Diana, August 30.
You've lived your life like a princess loved by the world, but died as a woman for whom the world cried for.
These were made for a 2 year old's birthday. Inspiration came from the wrappers I'll be using for cupcakes that were also requested. Went with a sturdier crown versus the normal crown cookie I liked since i was told that they were going to be using the cookies to make ice cream sandwiches.
The Princesses.
Takeda Shingen Festival, Kofu, Japan.
Takeda Shingen was one of the most well-known of the Daimyo (war lord) of the civil war period prior to Japan being united by Hidetoshi Toyotomi in the mid-16th century. Takeda controlled present day Yamanashi prefecture, about two hours north-west of Tokyo.
Every year they hold a festival re-enacting events from Takeda's life in Kofu. The event is concluded with a march of 1500 samurai and soldiers in period armor. This year the part of Takeda Shingen was taken by Japan's gold medal Judo champion, Yasuhiro Yamashita.
So in the midst of 1500 soldiers, my best shot of the festival is a teenage girl. These girls probably weren't princesses. They were probably attendants to the princess.
I was skeptical of this dessert, especially since that chocolate cake is so good, but this turned out to be a light and delicious treat! It's describeds as a Swedish pastry made of sponge cake, raspberry jam, whipped cream & marzipan.

Savanah dressed as a princess at her friend Lorali's birthday party. The party was a princess themed party and they had a wrack of princess dresses for all the girls.

So my sweet princess came home to check her humble servant Ami's work around her domaine, and approved. Ami will be pleased :) Lots more to do, so more of the same tonight! ♥♥♥X
(Your Mai apologizes for not plunging naked into the Onsen with you, but she still needs to save her outfit :) And she promises to tell Ami to get rid of those clouds of steam!)
Criminal Princess (daughter of the tragically departed Criminal Type) barely tolerated our presence & when we approached her, she would either turn to give us her (& Young Son's) bum or trot Young Son away from us.
