Princess Sen plays hyakunin isshu with an attendant. The idea is a reader reads the first two lines of a classic Japanese poem. The players compete to see who is the fastest to find the card with the last two lines of the poem. This is in the Nishinomaru, or West Wing of Himeji Castle which contained the princess' residence.

MV Hebridean Princess is a cruise ship operated by Hebridean Island Cruises. She started life as the MacBrayne car ferry and Royal Mail Ship, initially RMS then MV Columba, based in Oban for the first 25 years of her life, carrying up to 600 passengers, and 50 cars, between the Scottish islands.
She underwent a major refit at George Prior Engineering in Great Yarmouth in 1989, emerging as the luxury cruise ship, MV Hebridean Princess. She began operating on 26 May 1989 and provides luxury cruises around the Western Isles of Scotland. More recently, itineraries have been extended to include Ireland, the Orkney and Shetland islands, and the Norwegian Fjords. Refitted in luxury she carries 49 guests, and 38 crew

Takeda Shingen Festival, Kofu, Japan.
Takeda Shingen was one of the most well-known of the Daimyo (war lord) of the civil war period prior to Japan being united by Hidetoshi Toyotomi in the mid-16th century. Takeda controlled present day Yamanashi prefecture, about two hours north-west of Tokyo.
Every year they hold a festival re-enacting events from Takeda's life in Kofu. The event is concluded with a march of 1500 samurai and soldiers in period armor. This year the part of Takeda Shingen was taken by Japan's gold medal Judo champion, Yasuhiro Yamashita.
So in the midst of 1500 soldiers, my best shot of the festival is a teenage girl. These girls probably weren't princesses. They were probably attendants to the princess.
