I recently rediscovered the junior novelization of Barbie's Princess and the Pauper and thought I'd scan the pictures. I think they're beautiful and real unique because they're actual dolls set up in a studio instead of illustrations like they are now.
Serafina looks very odd in this picture.

One of my ultimate favorite shots in the books.

Cursed Princess
At the cusp of twilight, live Lisbeth, a princess cursed,
Loneliness, a heavy chain, love's embrace reversed.
Her heart, a symphony unheard, a soul bound in strife,
Yet in dreams, an eternal girl, she dancing through fantasy's life.
Silent corridors echoed the void, a silent plea to skies above,
Yet within her dreams, a refuge, realms woven of longed for love.
Magical beings, her companions in the gloomy and ethereal night,
Invented by her tireless mind, playing and dancing in moonlight.
An eternal girl, that with her desires paint the stars,
Her spirit, untouched by the curse, freed from earthly bars.
In dreams, she reigns, a sovereign of realms untold,
A princess in the shadows, where impossible love's story unfolds...

Here is gorgeous Princess posing prettily in front of the Christmas tree, taken during the three wonderful weeks that we cared for this amazing little girl while her owners were traveling.
Beefy and I really miss her a lot, she was such a pleasure to have around the house!
Hope your week is off to an excellent start, my friends!

I finally rebodied Nikki and Princess.
Princess’s body came from a SIS Baby Phat Chandra, and it’s not a perfect match, but it’s easy to fudge for photos (the FR body that would be a perfect match belongs to a doll that is like, ridiculously hard to find and very expensive O_O). I like her default face paint very much, but it’s showing a lot of wear and tear from being rattled around in a bin for who knows how long. She’s one of my favorite fashion dolls in my collection now, I absolutely love this sculpt. I’m going to keep the short ‘fro, too.
Nikki definitely needs a face paint, her lips have rubs that are causing a bit of discoloration from the darker color underneath the screened highlight.
My Prettie Girls arrived yesterday from Zulilly, too! They’re freakin’ fantastic. I’ll try to get some photos of them up later on :).
I found a set of princess cookie cutters for less than $4 at Michael's and wanted to try them out. They are a fun set to own.
Star Wars and the Power of Costume explores the challenges in dressing the Star Wars universe from the Galactic Senate and royalty to the Jedi, Sith, and Droids. Featuring over 60 hand-crafted costumes from the first seven Star Wars films, the exhibition (located at the Cincinnati Museum Center in Cincinnati, Ohio) reveals the artists’ creative process – and uncovers the connection between character and costume.
Features of the Power of Costume exhibit include short films that provide a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process and include interviews with the designers and actors/actresses. The experience in enhanced by interactive flip books featuring sketches, photographs, and notes that capture the creative team’s inspiration and vision.
Featured costumes include:
•Monk-like robes of Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker
•Intimidating suit and complex breathing apparatus of Darth Vader
•Yak hair and mohair costume of Chewbacca
•Fierce armor of mercenary bounty hunters Jango Fett, Boba Fett, and Sam Wesell
•Elaborately detailed gowns of Princess Leia, Queen Amidala, Queen Jamillia, and their handmaidens
•Intricately designed costumes of astromech’s R2-D2, C-3P0, & BB-8
This photo is just one of the many costumes seen in the Star Wars and the Power of Costume exhibit that allowed myself and my family to get up close to these historic and awe-inspiring films in ways that we’ve never seen them before. The next time I watch one of these movies, I will have the perspective of how the costume was designed & created and what inspired the look & feel. Thank you to the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, and Lucasfilm, Ltd. for developing this exhibit to give Star Wars fans such as myself this opportunity.
I know I already uploaded the top image, but I really liked the diptych so I decided to upload this. I saturated the colours in photoshop to bring out the red too.

Crown Princess 👸 Brigette at her castle. 👩🌟
This was the closest I could find to a White Castle among my photos. Actually it is the entrance to Point Park in Chattanooga. It’s more of a sand color, so I removed the color of the building and road in the picture. 👸💙🌼🏰

The Good Princess
What makes one a good ruler?
When they will fight for the least among them.
The duty of the princess is to protect the innocent in her realm. So when the Big Bad Wolf starts to hunt Babies in Children.
She must protect her people.
