Hello all!
This is a piece that I recently built for the contest, "Replicate your heroic minifigures in battle!" over on Lego Ideas.
I had two main goals as I built this. First, I wanted it to look cartoony, like a scene that I would have played out as a child. Hence the two knights being launched out of a catapult. And the one hiding in the bush. And second, I wanted to build it in two main sections, or islands, but I wanted to make it clear that the islands were just smaller portions of the actual landscape. In other words, the islands only exist in the MOC, not in the world that it models. I tried to use subtle hints to give the MOC this feel, such as the fact that the water only extends to the grey portion of the island's base, or the simple fact that there is a road on each island.
Ultimately, I am pleased with the result. I think it accomplishes both of my goals fairly well.
Thank you all!
Happy Building and God Bless!

Originally built for the Danish State Railway and launched in 1951 as 'Dronning Ingrid', she remained in passenger and freight service until the mid-1980s. She left Barrow in July 2015 to become a floating museum in Denmark, and was photographed at Town Quay, Buccleuch Dock, Barrow-in-Furness on 27th May 2015 shortly before embarking on possibly her final sailing. Amtrak P138 waits for westbound mty train 821 at Princess before entering the main line from the storage yard. At Myrtle, we would leapfrog ahead of 821 who came out of Lambert's Point.

Keke Mello esta crescendo, minha sobrinha linda foi a primeira "vítima" de minhas edições extravagantes.

I pre-ordered this doll back in the summer.....she arrived last week.
She is the first Martha Boers collaboration doll with RRFF
Well, as Martha Boers is my all-time favourite doll artist and I find all she does just SO inspirational, it was a no-brainer for me to order the doll
And I am thrilled that I did
Here are my first photos of Princess Zora in the garden
Shot this photo from the rear of the Pier building. There was a nice gentle light in the sky at this time.

This is my model of the Princess Theatre in Melbourne Australia. The theatre was built in 1886 and is now one Melbourne’s main venues for major music theatre productions. At the moment it is hosting the play ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’.
I built the Lego model for our club ‘modular building’ competition; it took about three months to complete. It is the first modular-type building I have built, and I didn’t quite appreciate just how large the finished model would be when I picked the Princess Theatre as a subject. The model is 144 studs long and 48 deep. The model includes the ornate frontage that houses the foyers and Federici Restaurant, plus a small slice of the plain brick section that houses the actual theatre. For greater part availability, I stuck with the tan and white colour scheme that the building had prior to the renovations last year (it is currently tan and sand green).
The roof is faced with stagged 1x1 cheese slopes and 1x1 tiles in dark and light bluish gray to create the mosaic pattern: ~1250 slopes plus ~650 tiles. The model is lit with 75 LED lights.
The road in front of the model represents Spring Street, Melbourne complete with central tram tracks.
The theatre is apparently haunted by the ghost of Federici, an opera singer who died on stage in 1888. I have included in portrait in minifig form on the back wall of the restaurant.
