I don't shoot a lot of Cosplay but I had the chance to shoot with Cece Grayson who was cosplaying Princess Zelda.
For this image I was using a 55mm Zeiss Sonnar shooting wide open with a Flashpoint Streaklight 360 that had a 19" softbox on camera right. The settings were f1.8, 1/1250, ISO100, 55mm.

Pink Princess - I meet her wondering around The Garden. She layed motionless looking into Dark Water, plum trees are in full blossom now (marzipan snow) - everything seams to fit together.

This is Princess Peach, she's a character of the video game series Super Mario and was created by the company Nintendo.
I normally don't do a lot of princess pictures at Disneyland (except for Princess Jasmine in the Aladdin show). That said when a Princess walks up to where you are standing and clears the crowd out from in front of you there is not much you can do but take her picture (many times).
This is a bell shaped clematis named after Lady Diana Spencer, the Princess of Wales. Unlike bell shaped blooms that dangle, these bloom upright like tulips. It was a little plant when put in the ground by the fence and it is now in the 3rd yr. that it's been planted. Last summer it started to really take off and this year it is sturdier yet and growing/blooming profusely. It's been hard trying to get a decent picture as it's always a a bit windy and has been raining here practically every day since the first part of May. This clematis will bloom all spring and summer long and is suppose to be a good choice to attract hummingbirds.

As I was cleaning last week I realised I never posted these gals and guys on here. They arent true customs as they either still have their original hair or are wearing wigs. I made them as a sort of monster high characters doing cosplay in honor of the rerelease of the manga here in the states. So theyre all based, as best I could, on the manga costumes . Enjoy :)
Princess Serenity is my #1. Ive always had a fascination with her as well. I know she dosent play too huge a roll in the manga but still. Naoko always draws her so pretty and ethereal, Im a sucker for that :).
I love this picture, the colors are so vibrant and the background is so pretty. :) I hope it's actually noticeable, but I did restyle Anna's bangs a little bit to make them not so thin and instead covering more of her forehead.
The Aladdin Oracle and I have developed a new technique for taking pictures of princesses. We will separate by five to ten feet to have the subject alternate their gaze between us. Latter in the week we should have some nice over the shoulder shots to share.
Other than a minor crop this is straight out of the camera using a 100mm macro lens (I was expecting rain and this is a waterproof lens).
