Says I to my wife, about two years ago, as we were contemplating our next canine family member: "We can get anything you want, except a Bulldog; no way we are ever having a Bulldog." We've had Princess Penelope for about 18 months now. Says I to my wife this morning: "You know? I can't imagine life without a Bulldog."
I recently rediscovered the junior novelization of Barbie's Princess and the Pauper and thought I'd scan the pictures. I think they're beautiful and real unique because they're actual dolls set up in a studio instead of illustrations like they are now.
Serafina looks very odd in this picture.

Princess had to go get her teeth cleaned today and they put her under anesthesia and she is still feeling it just a little bit...LOL
Or as we all know her, Wonder Woman. Anyway, I'm making my own version of the Justice League, and now that I have WW, the DC Trinity as it's called is complete. Obviously, the skirt is another gift from Billbobful. Almost the whole 'fig is, really. The overall design was a collaborative effort between us, basically.

Princess’s body came from a SIS Baby Phat Chandra, and it’s not a perfect match, but it’s easy to fudge for photos (the FR body that would be a perfect match belongs to a doll that is like, ridiculously hard to find and very expensive O_O). I like her default face paint very much, but it’s showing a lot of wear and tear from being rattled around in a bin for who knows how long. She’s one of my favorite fashion dolls in my collection now, I absolutely love this sculpt. I’m going to keep the short ‘fro, too.
Nikki definitely needs a face paint, her lips have rubs that are causing a bit of discoloration from the darker color underneath the screened highlight.
My Prettie Girls arrived yesterday from Zulilly, too! They’re freakin’ fantastic. I’ll try to get some photos of them up later on :).

D13278. The Dartmouth – Kingswear foot passenger ferry MV DARTMOUTH PRINCESS crossing the River Dart in South Devon.
This boat was built in 1990 and originally called the MV DEVON BELLE II but was renamed when she came to the Dart in 1994. Previously, she was based in Plymouth.
Photographed from the Dartmouth to Kingswear Lower Ferry which carries both vehicular and foot passenger traffic.
