C'è una zona bellissima, quasi selvaggia, al confine nord fra Veneto e Friuli. Le prealpi si inseguono verso le dolomiti della Carnia e il cielo sembra scorrere più veloce del tempo.

IL BOSCO IN DIAGONALE.
La foresta del Cansiglio è un luogo dolce, di pace, ma pieno di mistero , dove l'uomo fin dal neolitico è salito per cacciare, senza mai prendervi dimora, perché troppo il freddo d'inverno, e forte l’eco di certe magie. E' un luogo di presenze eteree e potenti, che vivono in voragini terribili e che governano i fenomeni naturali in modo incomprensibile agli uomini. La Cansseia, (l’antico nome de Cansiglio) è una foresta bella e immutabile. Con il legno dei suoi faggi si costruivano i remi della Serenissima e con i suoi larici venne costruita la flotta di Napoleone. Lì è approdata la più tarda delle migrazioni dei Cimbri, con la loro lingua e le loro Hutte. Più vicino a noi, i partigiani a migliaia vi hanno trovato nascondiglio e protezione.

Golden light spills across the rolling hills,
brushing the trees with fire—
amber, rust, and fading green
blending like a quiet hymn to autumn.
The land drifts downward in slow, tender waves
toward Lake Garda and the vast Po Valley,
where the horizon dissolves into a haze of silver.
Distant mountains rest like sleeping silhouettes,
their contours softened by the last warmth of the sun.
In this hour of calm surrender,
every meadow, every farmhouse, every shadow
seems to breathe in unison—
a world suspended between light and night,
held together by the fading glow
of a sun reluctant to leave.

In December’s quiet breath, Lake Garda lies still,
A silver mirror cradled by sleeping hills.
Vineyards rest in neat, whispered lines,
Their winter bones bare beneath the pale sky’s design.
Mist drifts gently from the water’s skin,
Softening mountains that fade into blue within blue,
As if the earth itself is exhaling,
Unhurried, timeless.
Villages cling to the land like memories,
Warm-toned roofs against the cool hush of the season.
No summer clamor, no bright insistence—
Only calm, only distance, only light.
Here, winter does not silence beauty;
It refines it.

Lake Garda 20231031
Lake Garda, also known as Benàco, is the largest Italian Lake. The lake and its shoreline are divided between the provinces of Verona, Brescia and Trento; it is surrounded by the Monte Baldo to the east and the Brescia Prealps to the west. As for its geology, it is a prealpine lake with origins from glacier activity dating back to the Quaternary Period. After millenniums of glaciations, the climate became milder and glaciers receded thus creating large water basins; on the other hand the debris caused by the erosion gave birth to the moraine amphitheater surrounding the southern part of Lake Garda.
The lake includes five small islands. The largest one is Isola del Garda on the Brescia shore; here in 1220 Saint Francis of Assisi founded a hermitage that was suppressed in the Eighteenth Century and then replaced with a Venetian neo Gothic villa. Still on the Lombard side there is the Isola di San Biagio, also known as “Isola dei Conigli” with a large park full of flowers and plants. Finally, the two smaller islands are located beside the eastern shore near Malcesine: the northernmost Isola degli Olivi, the Isola del Sogno and Isola del Trimelone.

La fleur "Aconite Napel" est hautement toxique. Elle est fréquente dans la réserve Pro Natura du Vanil Noir quoique de plus en plus rare.
