Entremont-le-Vieux.

Along the Road of 52 tunnels - Monte Pasubio 20220731
The "Road of 52 tunnels" or"Road of the First Army" is a military mule road built during World War I on the Pasubio massif in Veneto, Italy.
The road winds between Bocchetta Campiglia (1,216 meters and the Porte del Pasubio (1,934 meters crossing the southern slope of the mountain with its spires, deep canyons and sheer rock faces, outside of the range of Austro-Hungarian artillery.
It is 6,555 meters long, of which 2,280 meters are divided into 52 tunnels excavated from the rock, each tunnel is numbered and characterized by a particular name. The minimum width of 2.20 meters was originally intended to allow the transit of two mules with their baggage.
The Tunnel 20 is carved out of a rock tower, and to overcome the difference in height, twists around itself like a corkscrew. On leaving the 47th, the highest point of the road (2,000 meters, , there is a magnificent panorama.
Work began on February 6, 1917, and was completed in November 1917.

Autumn landscape 20251114
In this autumn portrait, the beech forests of the Lessinia seem to breathe in amber light, their leaves holding the last warm whisper of the season. Beyond them, the shoulders of Monte Baldo rise in quiet majesty, their muted tones shaped by wind, time, and ancient stone. And far in the distance—almost a dream suspended on the horizon—the Adamello group glimmers in its early winter cloak, sharp and luminous against the gentle haze.
The landscape unfolds like a slow crescendo: from the intimate rustle of autumn woods to the solemn stillness of high, snow-crowned peaks. It is a moment where seasons meet, where earth and sky trade colors, and where the mountains seem to carry the memory of every dawn that ever touched them.
A photograph like a deep breath—crisp, serene, and full of quiet wonder.
Resegone

Pasubio massif - The Road of Heroes 20171008
The "Heroes road" is a stretch of the Pasubio road, made after the Ist World War to make a safe access way to the summital part of Monte Pasubio.
10 km of road, rich with interesting cues for this route, around the Pasubio, that goes on, above the Val Canale in front of the Tunnel Road from Piano delle Fugazze (1162m) up to the Rifugio Generale Papa(1929m).
The road has a constant steepness and in the last km crosses some war tunnels before arriving to the Refuge, near the "doors of Pasubio".

di Nord- Est
dove l' uomo
era ben integrato
con i suoi insediamenti
sparsi tra la campagna

Luoghi
che noi abbiamo
ereditato
in un presente
che spesso
si disinteressa
del suo passato
Luoghi
che chiedono
di adattarsi
velocemente
al cambiamento
guardando al futuro
senza dimenticare
l' esperienza
di chi ci ha preceduto.
