Il Cansiglio, altopiano delle Prealpi Carniche posto a cavallo delle provincie di Belluno, Treviso e Pordenone, sovrasta con le pendici esterne a sud e a est la pianura veneto-friulana, mentre a nord è delimitato dalla regione dell’Alpago e a nord est dal gruppo montuoso del Cavallo; infine, ad ovest, la Val Lapisina lo separa dal Col Visentin.
Dalla caratteristica forma a catino, è costituito nella sua parte centrale da tre depressioni: Pian Cansiglio, Valmenera e Cornesega, dove si raggiunge la quota più bassa (898 m).
I rilievi circostanti hanno un’altezza attorno ai 1300 m, tranne ad ovest e a sud ovest, in corrispondenza del M. Millifret (1577 m) e del M. Pizzoc (1565 m); ad est con il M. Croseraz si raggiungono i 1694 m.
I principali solchi vallivi, dai quali si accede alla conca, sono quelli di Campon (1050 m) a nord e quello della Crosetta (1118 m) a sud.

Le massif de la Chartreuse est un massif montagneux des Préalpes, situé en majeure partie dans le département français de l'Isère et aussi dans celui de la Savoie, constituant une région naturelle. Il culmine à 2 082 mètres d'altitude à Chamechaude. Il est constitué essentiellement de calcaires disposés en successions d'anticlinaux et de synclinaux formant de longues lignes de crêtes orientées du nord au sud. Les dépressions, au fond desquelles coulent le Guiers et ses affluents, sont séparées par des cols. Le massif, soumis à un climat océanique montagnard, connaît des précipitations relativement importantes mais l'eau est peu présente en surface ; elle s'écoule rapidement dans les réseaux karstiques creusés dans le calcaire.

Lake Garda 20231031
Lake Garda, also known as Benàco, is the largest Italian Lake. The lake and its shoreline are divided between the provinces of Verona, Brescia and Trento; it is surrounded by the Monte Baldo to the east and the Brescia Prealps to the west. As for its geology, it is a prealpine lake with origins from glacier activity dating back to the Quaternary Period. After millenniums of glaciations, the climate became milder and glaciers receded thus creating large water basins; on the other hand the debris caused by the erosion gave birth to the moraine amphitheater surrounding the southern part of Lake Garda.
The lake includes five small islands. The largest one is Isola del Garda on the Brescia shore; here in 1220 Saint Francis of Assisi founded a hermitage that was suppressed in the Eighteenth Century and then replaced with a Venetian neo Gothic villa. Still on the Lombard side there is the Isola di San Biagio, also known as “Isola dei Conigli” with a large park full of flowers and plants. Finally, the two smaller islands are located beside the eastern shore near Malcesine: the northernmost Isola degli Olivi, the Isola del Sogno and Isola del Trimelone.
The natural bridge Ponte di Véia is the biggest in Europe of its kind.The bridge is 52 meters long and has a maximum high of 29 meter; the bridge is located north of the Italian city Verona in the VBeneto region.
The Ponte di Véia is a very important prehistoric and bio-speleogical site, because of caves and the area around the bridge.
Immersi nella Valmareno, tra le Prealpi venete e le colline trevigiane si trovano i due pittoreschi e caratteristici laghi glaciali di Santa Maria e di Lago, comunemente noti come Laghi di Revine.
Separati oggi da un piccolo istmo, formavano un tempo un grande specchio d'acqua nato dopo il ritiro del grande ghiacciaio del Piave. Un angolo suggestivo, a pochi passi dalle località di Vittorio Veneto e Conegliano. Sulle acque tranquille dei due laghetti, orlate di canneti e d'estate punteggiate di ninfee, si specchiano su una sponda le caratteristiche casette di sassi del comune di Revine Lago e delle sue frazioni, sull'altra quelle di Tarzo.
Le località che si affacciano sui piccoli laghi accolgono i turisti in cerca di un soggiorno a contatto con la natura e le antiche tradizioni, conservate gelosamente e rivissute nelle pittoresche manifestazioni e feste popolari.
