The HDMI Amplifier Splitter is an HDMI splitter with multiple outputs. It distributes the input of the HDMI signal into the several identical outputs simultaneously. Tools and supplies I used to alter my power cable.

Juniper's fantastic eco-friendly packaging of a single power cable. We were sent ~20 cables this way.

What makes it even worse is that being a DC, we use IEC C13 -> C14 power cables, not UK 3-pin plugs!

REPOSITIONING THE CLIP

To stop me from accidentally stabbing my hand (ouch!), I used a kitchen pot over (the kind for hot saucepan lids) o protect my fingers. Then, with my ther hand and a small flat-head crewdriver I pushed the clip back into lace. The pedal work was now all done!

Next, I attached a brand new Mains UK plug onto the end of the cable that connects to the power supply at the all. And my newly revamped pedal was ready to use on my sewing machine (yay!).

REMOVING THE OLD CABLE

First, I needed to unscrew the CORD CLAMP and the CRIMP EYELETS in order to slip out the old cable. (I made a careful note of where each colour cable/wire connected).

Then, I grabbed the white plastic outer cover (pictured) and gently pulled it upwards to slide it out of the pedal.

Next, I snipped off the Green/Yellow ‘Earth’

wire. (There is no ‘Earth’ connection inside

of my foot-pedal - so it’s not needed.)

Then, I slipped the white fabric covers on to the Brown and Blue wires.

I can't quite put my finger on it. I don't know what it is, but something has always attracted me to minimalism. Not just in photography either--art, design, living, etc.

One of the reasons I enjoy poetry is because I feel that it is the distillation of language into its most concentrated and perhaps most powerful form. I like the force that sparseness can have. It brings focus. Maybe it's the complexity and clutter of the modern world that attracts me to minimalism. Something inside of me saying, "Hey there. I need a little room to breathe."

In any case, this is part of an ongoing project called "A Study in Minimalism." I hope you enjoy it.

I rarely get the chance to catch the sunrise but every now and then my body will decide that getting up at 0400AM or earlier for no discernible reason is 'what we’re doing today!'. So I went to do some ‘mirin of the Croydon skyline and also took some dodgy photos on my phone.

The edges (especially on cables and power lines) always come out oversharp - there seems to be some unsharp filter built into the S5’s native camera app that I can’t turn off and that I have not worked out how to properly correct for in post :'(
