The Atlona AT-HD510VGA is designed to take VGA signal from PC or Laptop or Component signal from DVD player, Cable box etc. and upscale it to digital HDMI output of wide-range HDTV and PC resolutions, up to 1080p or WUXGA (1920x1200). I rarely get the chance to catch the sunrise but every now and then my body will decide that getting up at 0400AM or earlier for no discernible reason is 'what we’re doing today!'. So I went to do some ‘mirin of the Croydon skyline and also took some dodgy photos on my phone.
The edges (especially on cables and power lines) always come out oversharp - there seems to be some unsharp filter built into the S5’s native camera app that I can’t turn off and that I have not worked out how to properly correct for in post :'(
