The Point Wilson Lighthouse at Port Townsend, Washington.
This lighthouse was built in 1914, and has served as an active aid to mariners ever since. Its lantern room houses a Fourth Order Fresnel lens.
I used a KITE to fly the camera.
About 90 minutes before sunset. The wind was whipping and the fog was moving in, so I didn't stick around, returning instead to the city for moonrise and sunset. It was a good choice as it was a beautiful pink one to the north.
These formations look similar to the Granitic rock formations that I had seen at Joshua Tree National Park years ago. View large.
