Mitchell is a small division point where everything flattens out for a small time. As the train gets further west of Mitchell, it's back into the hilly ranges of Southern Indiana. Here, the W921 passes a CPL just west of the switch to the US Gypsum plant at Willow Valley, IN.
Tara and me at Glacier Point, a much closer vantage to the mountaintop. The glacier of reference would be the Nisqually Glacier. Taken by a friendly passer-by.
Visit to Port Hueneme and the Point Hueneme Lighthouse on Friday November 1, 2013. Besides seeing the beautiful lighthouse, I was able to see two ships in port. They were the Horncliff (Del Monte) and Cap Palmerston (Hamburg Sud Line). In addition, there were pelicans, sandpipers, and a few cats near the Lighthouse.
Somewhere in this photo might be the place where New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania all meet. The marker is the official spot, but the real geographical boundary might be further down the point on which the marker stands or out in the river. More here.
