The trig point looks old, new trig points look like large metal tripods with a black circle on the top. This one was a pile of stones (I added one) with a sheep skull on the top.

Point Loma is the Southwestern most point in the United States.

I was walking along the seaside in Palma near the cathedral. I saw this couple walk past the canon. Due to the low sun on the opposite side, the shadow of the canon and the subjects were captured too.
