Trégunc [tʁegœ̃] est une commune du département du Finistère, dans la région Bretagne, en France. C'est l'une des communes les plus grandes du Finistère, qui regroupe de nombreux villages ou hameaux. On peut mentionner plusieurs plages de sable fin, une zone naturelle protégée pour la faune et la flore autour des marais de Trévignon.
La pointe de Trévignon, sur laquelle se dresse une villa-château (propriété privée), s'avance dans l'océan en direction du sud-ouest, et constitue le point le plus au sud de la commune de Trégunc1. Le port de Trévignon est protégé par une jetée équipée d’un phare. En son centre une construction sur pilotis abrite le canot de la SNSM. La pointe de Trévignon est entourée de petites plages et constitue le point de départ pour la visite de la zone naturelle protégée des étangs de Trévignon.

Entourée d'une zone de marais aux dunes fragiles, la pointe nargue l'océan de son éperon rocheux. Une villa-château s'y accroche, de granit également. Datant de l'époque Vauban, elle n'est pas sans rappeler les demeures écossaises accrochées à leur loch.
Le petit port vit au rythme de ses bateaux de pêche. Vers 17 heures l'été -l'heure où les bateaux rentrent-, s'y déroule une vente directe de poissons. L'activité pêche est loin d'être négligeable dans l'économie de la commune : près d'un actif sur trois est inscrit maritime.
Port pourri en breton
Trégunc compte d'ailleurs deux autres ports : après Trévignon : Porz-Breign -port pourri en breton-, qui souffre d'une forte exposition aux tempêtes hivernales, et l'anse de Pouldohan qui offre, en comparaison, un abri plus clément.
Le site de Trévignon est un mélange des deux. Tourné vers le grand large, on y sent bien la menace de la mer. Menace que nous rappelle le local de la SNSM, perché sur sa drôle d'estacade. Mais le site, protégé par la pointe et une jetée massive, permet d'imaginer un mouillage rassurant. Les assauts de la mer y sont pourtant spectaculaires.
A Trévignon, en moins de quarante ans, le cordon dunaire a reculé de 50 mètres. D'où la nécessité de protéger le site. C'est en bonne voie puisque le cordon fait l'objet d'un classement en zone Natura 2000. Objectif : mieux protéger les dunes, les étangs et les fonds rocheux qui constituent autant d'habitats de grand intérêt communautaire.
Grâce à ce dispositif, qui prétend protéger la biodiversité, Trégunc s'intègre dans un réseau qui fédère les 50 sites bretons les plus remarquables.
Zabriskie Point is a part of Amargosa Range located in Death Valley National Park in the United States noted for its erosional landscape. It is composed of sediments from Furnace Creek Lake, which dried up 5 million years ago — long before Death Valley came into existence.

The Europa Point Lighthouse, also referred to as the Victoria Tower, was built in 1841 at Gibraltar's southernmost point, rising 161 feet above sea level. The lighthouse is the only such building outside of the United Kingdom which is operated by Trinity House, a lighthouse agency based in England.

Point Edmund
In 1941, Lt. Charles Wilkes USN of the U.S. exploring expedition named this point of land "Point Edmund," presumably in honor of his son. Although it was later officially named "Edwards Point," the earlier name continued after the city of Edmonds was incorporated in 1890.
This marker placed here September 1992 by the Edmonds South Snohomish County Historical Society.

Though thin fog is trying to hide it, Pillar Point Air Force Station was easy to make out on the distant peninsula when we made our way onto Pillar Point Bluff.
No trip up to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is complete without a stop at Michigan's most photographed Lighthouse - Point Betsie.
