These golden-lined zigzagging clouds enticed me to snap a couple of sunset shots from my backyard on this fine evening in January 2012.

I very rarely do street photography with people in frame. I was framing up this scene and just happened to notice this guy walking into it, making for an awesome street story to me.

Among the best-known and most well-loved beetles, ladybirds are easy to recognise. The most familiar have bright red elytra (wing cases) with black spots, while others are black and yellow, white and brown, or even striped.

The commonest species are the two-spot and larger seven-spot ladybirds, although about 40 others can also be found in the British Isles.

CHAIKA 14

USSR : 1977 - 1988

Production : 1114 units

V8 5526cc engine

220 PS DIN

3 speed automatic gearbox

Length : 6,11m

Weight : 2385 Kg

Speed : 175 km/h

The Chaika 14 is a Soviet limousine. It was built by the GAZ factory between 1976 and 1988 for the officials. President Gorbachev ordered the destruction of the production tools just before Christmas 1988. He wanted to dismantle the privileges of the Communist leaders during the Perestroika.

Imagine my surprise when in Paris suburbs, round the corner of a street, I saw this car. Only 1100 units were built. Very interesting, because it's a piece of History of a gone era.

... until two wild boars arrived, but turned away from me.

She hates this winter weather!

Same ridge as previous photo, but this shot is taken with my Pink Fugly Pocket camera. Edited with Topaz BW Effects.

No lightroom, no special editing, just point, shoot, and dropped into Topaz.

Honestly, sometimes I wonder why I carry such a nice Nikon with me!
